It took just two minutes for the prolific striker to convert Harrison Brook’s cross in the Youth Alliance League contest. And it was Brook who doubled the advantage midway through the first half, drilling the ball into the bottom corner. Stanley (pictured) then scored from the spot after drawing a foul in the box, before Seok jae Lee headed home a cross to ensure the Blues were cruising at the interval. They picked up where they left off once the action restarted, as Stanley immediately found the net to complete his treble. A header from Ethan Robb ensured the hosts had a six-goal advantage on 54 minutes, but Forest Green were able to see out the rest of the game without suffering any further damage. Academy manager Mark Kelly said: “We scored some good goals, although the Forest Green side was a bit of a mixed bag, with a blend of U18s and U16s. “We now go to their place for the return fixture on Tuesday and it might be a stronger side we face then. “But I was pleased with the goals we scored and probably even happier with the fact we’ve kept a clean sheet. “We’ve conceded too many times this season and have been putting a real emphasis on making sure that improves. “So it was great to see us show a lot more discipline and that really gives us a platform that we have to build on. “We were in control throughout, showing plenty of pace and power. We had a lot of possession and our movement off the ball was also impressive. “Taylor came in as a trialist keeper and looked steady.
