Nick Awfordâs stunning strike booked Pompey a place in the third round of the FA Youth Cup. The Blues will now travel to the Reebok Stadium to face Bolton after seeing off a physical Woking side. Liam Triggs â who scored the winner in the last round â took advantage of a goalkeeping gaffe to open the scoring. But Daniel Taylor headed home late in the first half to ensure the sides went in level at the break. The visitors were in for an uphill battle once skipper Isaac Nkosi had been sent off early in the second half, however. And Awfordâs fine effort from distance deservedly settled the tie in front of more than 500 fans at Fratton Park. Does anyone know for sure if Nick Awford is related to Andy ?
