Bit of a flat first half, but a vastly improved second half for us thankfully. Headed goal from Oli Hawkins in the 50th minute won us the game. Hawkins led the line well, supplying chances for Jamal Lowe and Ronan Curtis. Lowe took a really nasty knock in the second half, and to be honest I'm surprised that he continued playing, as he was limping heavily. Hopefully he will be o.k. for Tuesday evening's game at home to Burton Albion. Our defence were superb all afternoon, with Matt Clarke and Jack Whatmough winning literally everything in the air. Fleetwood had Nathan Sheron (quite rightly) sent of for a second bookable offence late in the game. Today's attendance was 18,046 including the grand total of 78 Fleetwood fans ! They didn't make a sound all afternoon !!
Thank you for posting Wooperts. A great win as it was at home where PFC have struggled. Is this a team that can grind out wins when under the cosh?
