No. 2nd is gone imo. Even if we do manage to stay in the playoffs we are not capable of beating the other teams in it.
Aah, but wouldn't it be typical if we got our act together enough to reach the final and then not turn up? Col's lad's nightmare is well on the cards.
Swords has more chance if attending a game! Our only hope is a change of manager, even then its a long shot.
We will be in the play-offs, what happens is all about form. Austin, Phillips, Ravel kicking arse, then we have a good chance. Hopefully with a different manager.
If you get in the play-offs ... and I think you will, at the very least (also think you are not out of the race for automatics, by the way) ... I would back you ... you have players that are likely to rise to the occasion in play=off semis / final (obviously you need them all to be fit) ... bur Derby are quite a young team, Forest are capable but nothing special ... the team I would worry about is Wigan who now have momentum and still have a number of players that have performed in a 'big day' at Wembley ... they would be my dark horses for an upset ...
No... and I'm not sure I want to with this current manager/squad - bit ****ed off this evening - too many loans, not enough players who seem to care enough about the club. Just my observation... Other teams just seem to be more committed and care more. Difficult to see us doing anything this season with the current squad when the teams around us are so much more positive. I really don't think it's the fans that can be blamed for this - they have been patient enough - on paper we have the squad and the manager, but the performances across the board have been well under par.
