1,first half of the season 2,Second half of the season. 3,Will not reach the record. 4,will but not until next season. One thing for sure he is worthy of his starting place at present,he has started this season as he finished last season. well done that man,i really hope you get the record.
1 The way Louis is playing, its going to be the first half of the season.......I might change my name then...to Biglouiscarey!!
I am of an age where I grew up with Big John being my ultimate hero (well apart from Roy Rogers)he still is,the time is right for a current generation player to take over the baton of most games played, the younger generation will have someone to identify with, having watched and admired Louis since his Joe Jordan days,I can think of no one better,a Bristolian,an absolute fanatic for Bristol City and a crackpot to boot with regard to humour.. Good luck Louis,I hope you achieve it and you remain an ambassador for our club, football and Bristol far into the future..
Well said wiz The really great thing about Louis getting the milestone is 1-A Bristol lad. 2- A city fan. 3-Hopefully will be involved when he finally gives up playing for his beloved club.
Sadly I wasn't alive to watch John Atyeo play! But I think Atyeo's 351 goals in 647 games is something that will stand as a record never broken for us, along with things like him being a maths teacher during and after his playing career is just something that we don't see any more. I actually don't think he'll get it this year, with a new centre back targetted to come in and needing 15 more appearences. Not meaning that to be deliberately harsh but I wouldn't want to see him played just so we could say we saw him break it.
I didn't mean he was playing poorly at the moment and doesn't deserve to be there, more that with a new centre back likely to come in that Del will presumably play as first choice (otherwise it'd be pointless) and with Louis' age he's more likely to pick up injuries and knocks along the way. He's started this season well and we'll hopefully have more of the same!
Got to say I agree with Jambo. And to be truthful if we are crying out all the time on here for a new centre back and on the other hand want Louis to break the record is a bit hypocritical. As much as I think Louis is playing well at the moment, and a good character. At the end of the day we all want what's best for our club and that's a new CB. So maybe the poll should be Louis gets the record, or we get a new CB?
course he will, first game of next season, comes on as a second half sub and scores with a near post header, and city win 1-0 at the emirates, well got to dream eh,?
I'm sure he'll go on to take the record but not till late in the season, doing very well at the moment, the test will come when the cold weather/heavy pitches kick in.
Yes I said second half of season, but if the weather is kind he could be unmovable in his current form.
As much as I would like to see Louis piss the record, I still would like a new CB and if that means he don't get the record then so be it. No room for sentiment in this league
