~Im undecided. I prefer the V10/V12 engines but The V6s are not as bad as people make out. I like the idea of F1 being about engine development again though with only 3 manufacturers it seems a bit lame at the moment
Seconded, I like that we can hear more under braking and the tyres but It did sound a bit too quiet for my liking. Probably needs a bit of fine tuning to be honest.
They need to turn the trackside mics up. The noise is quite nice, it wouldn't be that hard to make it easier to hear on TV.
I have voted for the V8's purely because the current engines are not optimised yet. I am pretty sure that if they were revving to 15K or allowed to go higher they would sound fine. With it being a complete new power unit I think the fuel restriction was crazy. Let them carry more fuel for this year so they can optimise the performance and then reduce it year on year there after. Ultimatley they will not carry more fuel than then need so they will strive to make the cars more economical through natural development.
