Please vote if you have a preference. This is a secret ballot. Individual voter preferences will not be shown. Poll will run for 7 days. A simple majority will be respected.
If anyone wishes to suggest an amendment to the rule rather than simply dropping it, please go ahead in this thread. Any potential amendment would have to be practically workable though. (meaning it could not be too complicated, or more open to interpretation than the rule as it stands now). Alternatives can be discussed.
By the way, The outcome of this poll won't affect my status here. I'm equally happy to continue to serve the forum whatever the decision of members regarding the rule.
Sorry Lardy I won't be voting as I only open the threads about football, CAFC in particular. As long as they remain on topic I'm fine.
Whatever the result of this poll all the 'on-topic' threads concerning Charlton and football in general will continue as they always have. They only need the occasional bit of tidying up in the case of an accidental double post, or a post that might need moving. And every now and then a merging, when two members might start a thread on the same theme. Those threads are the heart of the forum, I think we can all agree.
I won’t be voting as well. I think you have scored a real own goal here @lardiman I am very disappointed to see Nick go. I am not going to say I am leaving the forum, because I never do. But I won’t be coming on here much.
Im afraid that by deleting my posts you have ended my involvement with this forum Lardi. Everyone has personal read lines, and deleting posts on a personal whim and blatantlyundermining the right to free speech is mine
You know, I have come to the end of my tether. @Dick Plumb1 the forum is yours. And I mean it this time. I'll contact @brb and ask him to remove my moderator status. Whether or not he does so, I won't use that status to edit this forum again. You can take Not606 Charlton in whatever direction you wish. It is no longer anything to do with me. I hope you have more success than I did.
Every post I deleted this year has now been restored. brb has replied to my request and will be removing my moderator status presently.
Blimey - we were on the verge of an achieving something positive for cafc and this happens. To all those that are going to leave or have left. Think about the overall objective of this forum rather than personal opinions on unrelated matters. Cafc are being driven into the ground by weak management and owners and other forums are happy to let that happen. I was rather hoping this forum was the go to for intelligent and positive reaction. let the politics work themselves out either reply or don’t! and let’s do what this forum does best taking the pisz out of ITV.
