Sturridge's lob. To get up over and over the keeper and into the corner from there was a great effort, but to do it with the ekeerp only 2 yards off his line is pretty incredible.

One of the best headers I've seen but the pace was already on it, doesn't take away from the quality, mind. But the pure audacity of the lob, and to be able to see it let alone execute gives it the edge over the header.

Good to see no idiot's gone for the header, I think there was an element of luck in that just a wee bit maybe.

The chip was sublime, fended off a challenge, players around him but he had one thing on his mind, perfect execution

  6. One of the best headed goals I've seen but there is no debate here, got to be the chip <ok>

    I'm a tad surprised lads <ok>

It's the header for me and for one simple reason...you see at least 3 or 4 chips over the keeper every season but you rarely see a header from outside the box. He leaves the ground almost before the cross is made <laugh> Unbelievable...

Anyone (even Wellbeck) can lob the keeper but headers like that are almost impossible and rare as rocking horse ****. No luck involved Sisu, he meant that. If you see the side on view (showed it on MOTD but cant find a clip) he even arches his back for it. The fact he meant it makes it soooooo good <cool>

Of course he meant it he's trying to score but the power did a lot of the work for him, Studge picks it up, turns fends off a player and pulls off the chip with a ball that's moving forward, do you know how hard that is to do when the ball is moving towards the goal? A brilliant goal, Luis got a very good one but Studges was sublime

I agree you see a lot of lobs, but what did it for me was that he lobbed him when the keeper was only about 3 yards off his line!

    I chip keepers for fun but I can't head for **** <laugh>

The fact the pace is on the ball just means he's got less time to execute it. He heads that a fraction of a second after the cross is made and still gets it absolutely perfect.

Billy Sturridge's margin for error was minimal, the header was a bullet but the lob had to be delivered as light as a feather which took more skill.

Yes, but he wasn't lobbed for the header <doh>

Header was good, but was more instinct than pure skill. Not saying it wasn't a good goal, but all the pace was on the ball, he just needed to direct it.

Sturridge's took more skill for me <ok>

Although saying all this, I did lob the keeper in a 5 a side goal at football yesterday evening and missed a header from 6 yards out (would have flown in in a normal goal but didn't get it quite low enough) so maybe it is easier to lob than header

  18. I don't think Suarez's header was that great. He was only five yards out and the ball from Gerrard made it <ok>

    cough :D

that was like picking what testicle I wanted pulling off 1st ffs

I genuinely enjoyed the header as much as the chip but regardless of how technically difficult sturridges was you do see usually one or two of them a season and I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a header that powerful from that distance, I'm including the build up and cross too btw.

    be gentle haha
