I do congratulate him on the birth of his healthy son. And I was genuinely pleased for him when he was discharged from hospital.
Are you not a bit worried about the absence of leadership in time of crisis though? Have you not seen the procession of woodentops they trot out in front of the cameras every evening while the PM is elsewhere?
I was a sincere in my wishes and thanks to him as he and his cabinet are with regards to the welfare and demise of our health workers.
I too can tell ****ing great lies while smiling and looking innocent.
Insincerity runs deep with this bunch of amateurs and despots.
What’s worse for the country though?
The woodentops who are so wooden that even their own, traditional supporters can see through the lies, or a skilled liar who says everything in an upbeat manner that enthrals the party faithful and prevents him from being held to account or chastised?
His leadership thus far, before he became ill, has put us on target to have the highest coronavirus death rate in Europe.
But we're still on course to leave the EU, right?
A testament to the shallowness of the democratic debate in 21st Century England, unfortunately. It’s not like his record of laziness, ineptitude and vanity wasn’t there for all to see before last December.
The man was a dreadful Mayor of London, his legacy a bridge to nowhere, and a forest of high rise “Luxury Apartments” sold as investments to the super rich, and left unoccupied in a City with a housing crisis.
In the same way that a Kamizaze pilot is still on target. The process is perfect, the outcome less so.
It is a perfect timing to leave the EU, you can hide behind the financial impact of the pandemic - in fact the pandemic may change the manner of global trade too, so an optimist may say we are in a good place starting from scratch.

I am fairly optimistic, in the sense that trauma and upheaval always provides an opportunity for reappraisal and renewal. It would be nice not to have to go through the trauma and upheaval, but then the universe was born in trauma.

There was a time when high profile politicians were forced to resign after getting their mistresses pregnant. Cecil Parkinson comes to mind. What has happened in recent decades that we now accept the lowering of moral standards and elect as PM one who enjoys a multitude of affairs.
PS: Naturally, if it was a Labour PM there would be shock horror at such a decline in morality.

There is mention in this article that Dominic Raab has yet again claimed that the Tory Party is “The party of the NHS”. This lie, as much as any of the many the Tories spout, needs to be rammed down the throats of anyone who dares utter it again. They have never wanted it, and have continually undermined it through deed and lack of funding and they should not be allowed to ride on the shirt tales of the NHS staff, during this crisis, in an attempt to rewrite history.

Am I wrong in thinking follow his ordeal Johnson would show some humility and apologise for the inept handling of the crisis, the lack of PPE due to the Cygnus report being ignored, his gung ho handshaking, allowing Cheltenham, Liverpool vs Atletico etc to go ahead, ignoring WHO advice and other countries experiences of test, test and test then trace? No, not a sign of it just a Trumpesque speech with phrases like "We are now beginning to turn the tide. If this virus were a physical assailant, an unexpected and invisible mugger, which I can tell you from personal experience it is, then this is the moment we have begun together to wrestle it to the floor" and "I know there will be many people looking now at our current success and beginning to wonder whether now is the time to go easy on those social distancing measures".
Heading toward having the leading death toll per capita in Europe is not a success.

There needs to be constant reminders of the effects of austerity and the lack of PPE due to the wilful ignoring of the Cygnus report every “The party of the NHS” phrase is uttered.
The great leap forwards in treatments and vaccines much hoped for in the meantime.
