I haven't quite worked out how the climate agreement is anti-American when all the other countries of the world also signed. Neither have I worked out how investing in coal will help America financially when every other country has found cheaper alternatives. The man is a ****ing lunatic!

I agree, as this election has gone I have gained much more respect for Corbyn.

Earlier in his leadership I thought he was almost being tyrannical in the way he was digging his heals in even with ideals he had no support for and removing cabinet members who disagreed with him.

But he's now shown he knows when to compromise to not only get his party behind him but also much of the public while still bringing his own ideals as much as he can.

He had everyone against him and he's managed to come out the other side looking strong. And that's exactly what we will need to do when going forwards with Brexit.

May has shown anything but those qualities.

I suspect that there is an unwritten law in the US that prevents ex presidents from slagging off their successors, but how Obama has kept quiet for so long is amazing. After 8 years of building some sort of respect for the US around the world and seeing that eroded in just a few months he has cracked! He said:
"The nations that remain in the Paris Agreement will be the nations that reap the benefits in jobs and industries created"
"I believe the United States of America should be at the front of the pack. But even in the absence of American leadership; even as this Administration joins a small handful of nations that reject the future; I'm confident that our states, cities and businesses will step up and do even more to lead the way, and help protect for future generations the one planet we've got."
 
Just had a old woman rant at me saying there is no such thing as poverty in the UK and the lefty scum are making it up.

Would be funny if it wasn't so messed up

Caroline Lucas just moans about the same things over and over again. A tried and tested formula that she has never veered from and thus is well practised.
Farron is a joke and that is why the Lib Dems ratings are collapsing when they should have been recapturing some of their lost vote. While on here it seems people like him, most of the rest of the country don't.
Corbyn did really well but we are used to him being calm and looking like an adult. People on here may remember me remarking on this at his first PMQs while the media laid into him for not playing the pantomime act that the media want.
Angus Robertson is just a really big moaner about anything and everything AND his seat is being targetted by the Tories so he is a bit worried on top.
Wood is so wishy washy and never comes up with anything other than practised well repeated lines.
Rudd is a goverment attack dog repeater. What did you expect from her? She was the same when campaigning for Remain. She targets personalities not policies like when she attacked Boris rather than tell the country the positives about the EU.
Nuttall is way out of his depth and not worth assessing.

TV Debates aren't about the debate. That's why they are ridiculous. All they are about is trying to make sure your soundbite is one of the few that gets repeated on the News channels. Nothing to do with the actual debate. Just getting a snippet that will be repeated.

Well, maybe she thinks she has a point, but she's mistaking poverty for mere existence. You can have a reasonable standard non-leaking roof over your head, but have small ability to pay the bills, clothe and feed yourself, or have any chance of a standard of living that is recognised in the western world as reasonable. That's poverty. And we have many people worse off than that in the UK.

I would suggest that parts of Africa are not in poverty but in human disaster and famine. That's a little deeper than poverty. And yes, there is plenty of poverty in Africa that is comparable to the UK too. But Africa is a continent consisting of a few very rich [in resource and assets] countries, and a majority which are comparatively poor. So they have little ability to draw their poor and disadvantaged out of poverty, unless by help from outside nation investment or donations. The UK is rich enough to take of all its citizens. It just needs the will to do it.

The letter was left by Liam Byrne and she could have got those pearls of wisdom from virtually any source as it was widely reported in left, right, centre and La La Land media.

Maybe Corbyn being a clown was on a recent Simpsons? No idea myself because I just get treated to repeats that I have seen a number of times on Free TV.
 
Just seen the past 3 videos posted by jonathan pie. Anyone watch him. Pretty funny in my opinion and bang on the money. They are pretty short so watchable. 3 minutes long

Johnson is a media favourite. Don't believe what the media keep telling you. He isn't most people's choice for a top job. He can be funny but he isn;t who you would want in a top job (unless you're a mad Londoner.)

If being posh wasn't villified as it is now then Jacob Rees Mogg is a favourite but he is posh so he isn't allowed. Kwasi Kwarteng is very impressive maybe too impressive so he is kept at arms length away from the top jobs. I think if he got a top job he would move towards the top very quickly.

One of the main problems in the Tory party, like the Labour party is that Cameron and Blair put loads of "on message repeaters" in the house. Most of the decent politicians are either getting old or out of favour and all we are left with are loads of Blairites that aren't leaders.

If Corbyn does win (I still don't think he will) how is he going to form a government when most of his MPs refuse to serve under him and disagree with most of his policies?

Oh of course, how could I have got it so wrong. So it's not the Tories fault for austerity after all. Oh well suddenly that's all right then. They weren't complicit at all. Indeed they were fighting for more money to be spent on the social fabric. I remember it well.

This would indicate a seat picture of:

CON 270-280 LAB 270-275 SNP 45 LD 30 UKIP 6 GRE 1 RES 1.

Ed Miliband would then, on this basis be our most likely next prime minister, and LAB could be closer to the Conservatives in both votes and seats than is the current expectation – lending some “legitimacy” to the formation of a Labour minority government.
