No Theresa is better than a bad Theresa.
Either way she's screwed!
No Theresa is better than a bad Theresa.
May's "stance" is the problem, she doesn't stick to it. She is weak.
ditto my dear old mum. She hangs up on me on Skype if I discuss politics! My dear old mum told me that she had a "discussion" with her hairdresser today about the election, the level of her (hairdresser) argument was that Corbyn is a "clown" and when Labour left office in 2010, Gordon Brown left a letter saying that "all the money had gone".... I wonder where she got these pearls of wisdom from?.

My statement isn't false though is it? Your beliefs are broadly left wing and you believe the left wingers did best and the right wingers did worst. So the statement is accurate.Maybe not make a sweeping statement that is false then? You didn't even watch it, but try to make a judgement. Nuttall was a shambles and sounded like a drunk landlord. Rudd got ripped apart by the others, but at least turned up. Did you say to the person you spoke to that they were just saying that as they were a Tory supporter?
You don't know my beliefs though, that's my point. The only thing I have been calling out on here is austerity, that isn't a left wing thing. That is a Tory thing. For the record I am a neutral. I vote for whoever I see is doing the most for the sick and disabled and poor. If that was the Tories, I would vote for them.My statement isn't false though is it? I didn't say anything to the other person because at that stage I'd heard one opinion and had no idea what had happened. Okay, fair enough, I thought. Then I come on here and see the usual set of left wingers talking about how the left wing politicians all did so well, how the right wingers were all terrible, and are now complaining that the press don't agree with them.

Being anti-austerity and calling for the state to do more to look after the poor and disadvantaged are left wing views. You don't know my beliefs though, that's my point. The only thing I have been calling out on here is austerity, that isn't a left wing thing. That is a Tory thing.
Now, I haven't memorised all your posts so I can't say you've posted in favour of every single thing on that list but there's enough on there that you have agreed with for me to reasonably conclude that you're left-wing, at least economically. Are you saying you don't agree with that list of left wing ideas? If so then fair enough.Left wing beliefs are usually progressive in nature, they look to the future, aim to support those who cannot support themselves, are idealist and believe in equality. People who are left wing believe in taxation to redistribute opportunity and wealth - things like a national health service, and job seeker’s allowance are fundamentally left wing ideas. They believe in equality over the freedom to fail.
In the UK the main left wing parties are the Labour Party and the Green Party. They believe in making laws that protect women, ethnic minorities, and gay people against discrimination. They believe that we should tax rich people more to support people less well off, and they believe we should regulate big businesses so they serve people’s interests. They believe that a good welfare system means people are healthier, more able to work, and will put more back into the economy. They also typically believe country-wide tax-funded action on climate change is necessary.
Going on that site and reading both sides. I still would say I fall in the middle,I agree with bits from both.Being anti-austerity and calling for the state to do more to look after the poor and disadvantaged are left wing views.
Quotes below are from here: http://idontgetpolitics.co.uk/right-left-wing The site's a bit old now so some of the information is a bit out of date but the definition below is still pretty accurate.

Only heard half the debate but my view is...
Corbyn did pretty well.
Farron answered well but was a bit long winded for me
Didnt bother listening to the greens too much or leanne wood too much.
Nuttall had 1 or 2 good things to say but was generally ignored and no impact
Thought rudd tried her best but she got slaughtered (fan reaction). More because the tories have a poor record in the past 7 years and there policy is non existant.
Angus was actually quite good to listen to was he snp?
The crowd were definitely progressive. Whether thats the generally feeling or not they definitely enjoyed the answers of the left parties
At times from what i saw it was a bit schoolboyish and the talking over each other (not corbyn) was very offputting
Ok
Lucas was the best
Farron
Corbyn
Angus
Wood
Rudd
Nuttal
I guess it does look like a poor show. Personally I don't really care because I don't like these debates and interviews. They were kind of interesting and there was a certain amount of novelty value in 2010 but since then they've not done much for me and I don't think they really reveal much or influence many other people. It is a bit of a poor show that May wasn't there though, if she is such a "strong" and brilliant negotiator, what was she so scared about?
Well fair enough. I'm not going to try and tell you what you think.Going on that site and reading both sides. I still would say I fall in the middle,I agree with bits from both.
So again I am a neutral.
I have voted for all 3 parties in the past and will do again if I like what I see.
I am not anti- austerity I am anti how this austerity has been carried out.
