The BBC report is not commenting on whether he is right or wrong, it's just a news report.

Time will tell whether it will affect his popularity, there are probably many that agree with him, I mean Tony Blair wasn't exactly popular after taking us to war in Iraq was he?

We aren't talking about whether it is right or wrong. Nor am I saying that the BBC or CH4 are commenting if he is right or wrong. The fact that it is the top headline shows that this is much more than just a speech. They know the content here will make the story.

I think even those that do agree with him will be thinking "Not now Jeremy."

I think most of us agree with the sentiment that Western democracies running around the world as if they own it, whether that be military or underhanded Soros funded and encouraged uprisings, has had a huge negative impact in these regions.

However I would suggest most people that agree with this sentiment were also the ones very vocal that we should have been doing something about Syria!

Jeremy Corbyn is just being himself. If he didn't make the speech others would point out his views so he may as well put his views whilst there is opportunity to get the whole argument out within the election process. If you asked most people in this country if the Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan campaigns were successful there would be a resounding no! All were strategically misjudged. Tactically misconstrued in structural terms and flawed in outcome and exit policies. Whether it is popular to highlight that winning battles does not necessarily win wars is another thing.

He's going to make a speech saying there's a link between terror attacks and U.K. foreign policy. Not sure this is the best timing and he's not saying the attack happened because of Iraq etc so I'm not really sure what point he's trying to make.

Perhaps if you wait and see what he says, you will then have a clearer idea of what point he is trying to make?

Is Corbyns view i think.

my view:

We are at war with IS(and other terrorist groups), its naive to think we won't take casualties while we are at war, especially with an enemy that doesn't distinguish between combatants and non-combatants.

For me, the question isn't if were prepared to accept deaths, it's what are we achieving with this and whether what we are achieving is worth the deaths its taking. If we have a good plan for getting rid of these extremist groups then i would be all for it. but i'm not sure we even have a plan, we just seem to be bombing out of anger.
This has nothing to do with excusing terrorists as some people are trying to portray it.

Also, the reason these terrorists are Muslim is because we are at war with a terrorist group that is Muslim, not because all Muslims are terrorists ffs.

Funny that we're even taken any notice of the pollls. Have we learnt from recent events that the polls don't mean a lot?

By the way. We did a poll in our house and 25% of people think I'm cool. 25% abstained and 25% weren't in when the vote took place. Does that mean half the voters say I'm cool?
I know I'm not that good at Maths but... 25+25+25...

Us and the USA ****ing up in Iraq created ISIS though, which I think Corbyn is on about. We didn't give a **** what happened after Saddam had been killed and this is the response. I don't like Corbyn, but he is right with what he says.
