Looking at those figures I wouldn't consider that to be some form of triumph, they are absolutely shocking

 

The bigger problem is with the penal system. He will likely get a lighter sentence than he should (if it were down to me capital punishment would be on the table) but you can be sure if he were carrying Class A he'd get a far heavier sentence than what is warranted.

Until attitudes towards violent crime change and a penal system is amended to deal with the crimes of today then people like that killer will continue to get off lightly. The media often goes soft on them because it could insight reprisal attacks on ordinary people of the same creed just going about their business.

Not by any means. In my view, knife crime is down to a variety of factors but lack of male role models being one of them.

Anyone can in a moment of madness do something they will regret for the rest of their lives but the lack of discipline in many homes from the presence of a male seems to suggest that the lack of stability leads to the feral groups you see in a lot of these gangs, not in all cases obviously but the family as a unit seems to be out of fashion compared to yesteryear
