Stolen from c.i. for which I apologize but it made me laugh and its a good point, why do you never see a pcso at the ground on match day.
I've asked the very question before. The Police don't seem able or willing to review their tactics to see if they still match the reality on the ground. Some forces have moved on, but many, including ours don't get trained in crowd control. They are shown how to deal with an individual, and they're trained in how to deal with a riot. That means any large group of people are Policed as a potential riot, and their decisions are made accordingly, which is why they don't use PCSO's at football. It's basically high level incompetence.
