...the FA investigation continues, with a likely conclusion being this week. But the police have ended their investigation.
Hope they get some kind of sanction off the FA because this is about the 5th time theyve had a witch hunt on a ref and theyve been done at least one time for false allegations when a player (guess who) was fined.
Chelsea didn't complain or at any stage approach the Met Police, the Society of Black Lawyers did so any anger should be aimed at them. The FA's investigation is separate and an entirely different matter.
Which is why I mentioned that the FA should do them again as Terry (who else) has been done for false allegations against a ref before. Mikel should be charged for kicking down the refs door as well.
Basically they tried to get the chelsea players to make a statement but they didnt want to get done for perjury if it went to court. Unlike Cole who should have been put away on the statement that the emirates was louder than the QPR chelsea game!
Hey District....come on mate, be honest......do you really believe that Clattenberg racially insulted anyone?
The only surprise is that it has taken them this long to reach that decision. Out of interest could clattenberg sue chelsea/fa for loss of earnings as he has now been stood down for 3 weeks or is he centrally contracted so it really doesn't make any odds if he has a game or not?
Im sure hes getting paid but he might be able to sue them if he feels he cannot carry on with the job because of the accusations. Racism, like ***** accusations dont have to be true to stick with a person for the rest of their life.
I don't believe he did Col but I don't believe Mikel or Ramires are lying either. As far as I'm concerned he is innocent until proven guilty but the same applies to Mikel. Mikel is not on trial here, just because the Clattenburg police case has fallen through it does not mean he should be punished. Clattenburg does not exactly have a squeaky clean reputation (as documented) but given the fact that in the current climate you can't even mention the 7 colours of the rainbow without being labelled a racist I'd be surprised if he had. No man should have to be labelled a racist without proof he is one (and that's very difficult to prove). As Suarez and Terry are finding out it's a stigma that doesn't and won't ever leave you. If it isn't proven Clattenburg is guilty then I have deep sympathy for him and his family. But I don't believe the whole case is as cut and dry as some would believe.
My reaction was the opposite. You most likely have - A) A terrible misunderstanding, but this in itself is saddening for same thing as C) B) A possibly racist and therefore corrupt referee C) A vindictive player/CEO playing the race card
I mentioned that on another thread after I heard the lead guy on Talksport. It came across like the guy was intent on creating more division rather than healing it. They've since gone after the Spurs fans because of their "Yid army" chants and banners. They've complained to the Met over them as well. Its a wonder they haven't gone after Celtic and Rangers yet. If its offence they want, they'll come in their pants at an Old Firm game. (Would have to be a Cup game these days of course)
I've mentioned before that the SBL have an agenda and have used the JT/Anton saga to generate publicity for themselves as Jason Roberts and Clarke Carlisle have done. SBL have said they will be monitoring the crowd chants just before Spurs play... yep you guessed it... West Ham, so in a big derby with partisan fans the chanting is bound to be more vociferous. It's a form of entrapment in my view. I would be a hypocrite if I said the "Yid Army" chant was acceptable because I am not Jewish. It is perfectly understandable how Jewish Spurs fans might take umbrage with this but none of note have said so. If the SBL were that concerned about racism they would crank down on the use of the N-Word amongst the Black Community (something which affects them directly) but what do they do instead? Go after football fans, the only section of society without a real voice and even lower down the pecking order than Ethnic Minorities. Football is an easy target for outlets to pursue this PC nonsense. Unfortunately we live in a society where people want to moan about little, but yet ignore the real problems. Rant Over
Some of Darlington FC 1883's (formerly known as Darlington FC who used to be in League Two) fans used an alleged racist word "pikey". For anyone who is bored highlights can be seen - http://www.northernleaguefootball.c...ews/394-west-snatch-late-winner-against-darlo . A player from West is under investigation for calling Darlo fans "****s" on twitter, and yet the alleged racism is not under investigation yet. This just backs up what DL has just said.
Nothing wrong with the term "pikey" since virtually all of them are criminals, next they will be saying the word "chav" is racist.
I've just read about that following your comment and it's an excellent example. Racism is slowly but surely becoming desensitized.
