It has been announced that Gillingham Football Club are in serious breach of FA rules with regard to squad numbers and face a potentially season destroying 10 points deduction. An unnamed league two manager (but we can guess who!), has reported Gillingham to the FA as the squad number 13 is listed publicly as allocated to 'The Rainham End'. He has supplied information to Football Association HQ indicating that no official signing has ever been recorded, thus rendering the entire Gills playing staff in breach of FA rule 104.13. The maximum penalty is a £5000 fine but, much more important, a minimum 10 point deduction will be imposed. Club officials have therefore urgently requested that at least 48 registered Rainham End season ticket holders (legally required 2% of the 2,400 RE stand capacity) attend the Blues Rock or club shop today before the NOON DEADLINE to register in person. I will be there and have contacted all my friends and family in block 4. Please do the same and, fingers crossed, we can avoid this disaster.
