It's amazing how the "irrelevant" fans have all of a sudden become very relevant. What say you, Dr Allam?
Had enough of the "Allam Out" brigade today. 94th minute displaying the banners wasn't necessary - we were all pissed off as it was, it's not Allam's fault quite a fair few of our players were heartless. I'm a fan of the Hull City Supporters trust and their values, and I hope they win their fight but blaming a dismal performance on the Allams is simply stupid.
Not having a go here, but at least they were still in the ground for the 94th minute. What about all the turds leaving from minute 81. The turds can keep on walking for my mind.
I fully agree with you - and to be honest I've always said people who can't be arsed to stay until the end aren't true supporters of the club, you support your team right to the end in case something brilliant happens! I just feel that the banners didn't need to be shown when the whole ground (other than the Burnley end obviously) was on a complete downer.
Why? A protest is as valid in the first minute as it is in the last, irrespective of the result. Given the disgraceful conduct of our owner, protest is fully justified.
How many have said there should be no protests during the game ? Leaving it until the 94th minute cannot have affected the players
What if we'd scored in minute 91? I just like to know why you think my post was "sanctimonious." In my eyes - if you pay to watch a football match, surely it makes sense to watch the full game, to support the lads right to the end? Yes, you're entitled to leave when you want - but I think you have to see my opinion as someone who's never left a City game early.
I don't think I'm going to ask everyone when and why they left a game early my friend! But the amount of folk leaving after 81 minutes today was shocking - when the lads needed pushing on the most, surely?
It makes ****ing sick when people hold themselves up to being ****ing super fans because they stay till the end. I had to leave slightly early for years to get home and look after kids while our lass went to work. Does that make you not a true fan ???? There's so e right hypocritical fans in the North stand. Someone who goes in the North told me I shouldn't be wearing my training top because it's got this years crest on the other day. What a fragmented place this has become
To be fair I have never left early in a game of any significance. But today when our team chuck in a completely spineless display against our biggest bogey side in the biggest league match for a couple of seasons, I can empathize with why people walk out. We all deal with our frustrations in different ways but they knew we were gonna get bugger all from that game. And they were right.
In no way am I calling myself a "Super Fan" - I don't go to as many games as I possibly could on Saturday's because I have other commitments and can't afford a Season Pass because there are bills to pay/ And in true irony - 99% of the time I now sit in the SW corner. Wear what you want to a game - I'm not going to begrudge you of that Sir!
I'm not saying that at all - but I feel that a massive walkout like there was today helps the players. They NEEDED our support - it was the only thing that they could possibly have used to score, because other than that they were flaming atrocious!
The North stand has a hell of a lot of traditionalists - and I know a few who sit in there who see the badge as "an Allam symbol." I wear this year's home shirt, and I've never been questioned on it. Our fans are divided at the moment, which is a deep shame.
