His stint at Inter isn't going well at all, he has yet to score a goal, and he's already been told to work harder:

    http://www.espnfc.com/internazional...t-do-more-at-inter-milan-says-roberto-mancini

Seems it's the same old same from him, I think though it's probably getting worse and he seems to be on a downward spiral, pretty much like Arshavin....The dip starts slow and slow and eventually escalates to a full level of no return and you're just not good enough anymore.

He certainly has no place at Arsenal anymore. Pity though as he is very likeable.

Likeable isn't good enough. I like Parmesan cheese on my Pasta, but it ain't gonna win Arsenal any titles.

Ship him out for whatever we can get for him in the summer.

At this point I think we will be lucky if we can even get 2 million from him, think 1.5 million is what most will be looking at. Think it's time he just goes back to Cologne.

Sad really how he couldn't evolve his game, you look at someone like Giroud (who I am a critic of btw) and you can see how he has evolved and made improvements in the 2 years he has been with us, heck even Arteta completely adapted and evolved his game. Podolski literally just stood still, or went backwards whichever way you look at it.

Guy was a bit of fraud at Arsenal, through social media he won over a lot of our fans and therefore escaped without a lot of stick for his crappy performances, especially compared to someone like Giroud.

    Cracking left foot though.....

Yeah he did get a bit of a pass due to his social media antics. I've lost count how many games he completely disappeared in, i thought i was watching the Invisible Man. You can have talent but if you can't learn to adapt and harness it the right way, then you'll end up failing.

He did absolutely F all one of the laziest players out there. I hope the Podolski situation is a lesson to Theo that he has to work on his overall game not just one asset

I always thought he was a mediocre footballer. All he had was a hard shot. Never got what a lot of my fellow gooners crying for him to be used were on about. But I always backed him (and anyone in our colours) whenever he turned out for us. Walcott is another one I think could be on his way out. He's a mediocre footballer. All he's got is pace and instinctive finish. A bit like Michael Owen. Not technically gifted. Hopeless when he's got time to think. Could still be an asset to us, but not my type of footballer.

It's such a shame as he's a nice guy, can be a great attacking weapon - but he just does not move, and as such is a liability in defence and attack. If he put in a sort of effort then he'd be great.

To think some people wanted him to play upfront on his own instead of Giroud...

Such a shame we turn away from our players so easily. When we struggled at the start of the season fan were crying for Wenger to play him "because he can score".
Now even Walcott is not good enough. Then the guy scores a couple of goals and the same fans start worship him.

Not sure who says Walcott isn't good enough? lots of us are calling for him to either start or be brought on in games...

I don't think people are turning on him, most Arsenal fans like Podolski and he will always be remembered as one of the good guys....But the fact is is he's not really that good enough for us, he doesn't put in a very good work rate, is lazy, and we have better players who can play in his position offering more.

And also to be fair when most fans were calling for him to start, we had a **** load of injuries, in forward positions too, so there weren't too many other options which is why people wanted him to be given an opportunity.

Think Smirnoff was defending Theo, not Pod.

I like Theo as a person, he's not just my type of footballer. I am not saying he's useless. I just don't like players of his ilk. There are a few players that are shrined as greats but just don't do it for me. E.g. Michael Owen, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Raul, etc. They are one trick ponies in my eyes. They have incredible stats and are excellent at what they do/did which is score goals. I look for more than that. It's just my personal preference.

I see what Theo brings to our side and like I said he can still be an asset, but I just think his limited ability could see him become disposable. Podolski is a good personality just not what I look for in a player.

It's just my opinion, I could be bang off target.

IMO Pod is a great personality, and I imagine has a positive impact on the dressing room, but he doesn't seem to utilise his obvious talent, doesn't do hardly any work on the pitch, and as such is a liability to the team. As a result he can't be trusted as a Left Wing Forward, as he doesn't track back, he can't be trusted as a central striker (his preferred position apparently) as he offers barely any movement, and as a result we are pretty toothless despite his rocket left foot.

Walcott is a world of a difference, offering pace, great movement, good finishing, hard working and good link up play - great player, just unfortunately very injury prone!

Even when we first got Podolski and he was in his honeymoon period, you could see he wasn't a very hard worker, and I remember saying that eventually his lack of hard work and tracking would not be excused and people could get tired of it akin to Arshavin, once the honeymoon period is over.

    And that's what has happened.
