    All the mainstream media running with this story this morning. What are people's thoughts on it?

    My gut reaction is that it is rubbish particularly as Pochettino has been leaving Toby out after he refused to sign a new contract....to demand his loyalty and then leave for Chelsea would seem 2 faced to me but I would never have believed that Walker would demand to leave 6 weeks before the end of the season or that Rose would would be selfish and arrogant enough to give that interview 2 days before the season started.

    I would be surprised if he left before doing one season in the new ground and if he chose to go to Chelsea as they have a long history of sacking managers who have won major trophies or achieved major milestones.

    Vialli was sacked months after winning the FA Cup, Ranieri was sacked says after getting Chelsea to their highest ever league finish, Jose was sacked twice months after winning the title, Grant was sacked after getting Chelsea to a CL final and coming league runners up, DeMateo (excuse spelling) was sacked months after winning the CL and Benitez sacked days after winning the EL...so going would be an enormous risk imho.

    Personally I would be gutted if he went.

    Personally I think it's a load of bollox. In loads of previous interviews poch has always said he would and could not ever join a major rival .The Russian mafia chelski can dream on and kiss my :emoticon-0172-mooni.why would he want to leave now when we are at the most exciting period in years and moving into the best stadium in Europe.

    My thoughts are this is what happens when you no
    longer have any Spurs/rival games to work your
    prediction magic on.

    Going to Chelsea as manager at this point would be a weird decision for most managers. Upon looking at their players, there's a huge job there and their recruitment last season was wretched. Those that any manager should want are....

    Courtois - Excellent keeper but known to want to go back to Spain;
    Azpilicueta - Top defender;
    Rudiger - Very athletic and solid;
    Conte - not a defender but a very good footballer, if unlovely human being;
    Kante - Top midfielder;
    Hazard - Curiously erratic for someone of his ability but a real talent;
    Giroud - Plan B personified and very good at it too.

    There are other that have abilities but are flawed - Morata lacks heart, Bakayoko lacks a brain and Dorothy wants to go back to Kansas with Toto.

    I've said it many times before and I'll say it many times in the future: we're the Jeremy Corbyn of the Premier League, and that terrifies the likes of Match of the Day, Sky Sports, and the newspaper hacks.

    I just hope this doesn't lead to a Seven Nation Army-inspired chant at WHL2...

    Jaysus, RCL! Give Spurly his weed back, it's clearly messed with your head to even make you contemplate the idea of Poch going to that lot.

    Debatable. Looked promising when younger but doesn't seem to pull off anything out of the ordinary, being behind what usually is a rigid defence makes him look better than he is.
    Showed he was a mercenary after ****ing over Leicester. If PSG come calling wanting him to be Motta's replacement, I reckon he'll say bye-bye.
    Real bound? Despite showing signs of inconsistency, a player of his quality won't wanna be playing EL football at his age.

    Possibly dark times for Chelsea unless Roman comes to the rescue again.

    He's played around with the recruitment process last summer and they got it horribly wrong last time out. Buying what they need will be enormously expensive and go against the flow of what he intended for their future. Currently, there''s a lame duck manager and time's a ticking even if they intend to splash the cash.

    Conte wanted complete control over recruitment last summer and didn’t get it and that’s why he’s been sulking since.

    Why would Poch go to Chelsea where he would have little control over anything except team selection.

    Yeah they messed up big time in the summer. Selling Costa and Matic were huge mistakes, more so at the fact their replacements have been utter gash.

    IF one of Hazard/ Kante do decide they want out, could spell big trouble.

    And the possibility of N years at Wembley (assuming
    the experience this season was not a < standard >
    Spursy thing) .

    However the fact that Roman could bankroll more on
    the player side (transfer/wage fees - though not to Manc
    levels now) , together with an academy regime that
    is shamefully utilised, should give ENIC food for thought.

    With Roman Abramovich choosing the squad and buying players, there's no way Poch would go to Chelsea, so do you honestly think this story has any shred of truth to it?

    It's the usual bollocks in the press we get every summer to unsettle Spurs.

    Chelsea are facing the same issues in relation to Citeh as other clubs did in relation to them when Abramovic bought them. When Chelsea recruited Mourinho and were backed with the biggest budget in the PL, they could pick and choose. A couple of title wins later and they had players falling over themselves to go there and a good balance of young English players and talented imports.

    Now, that's all gone and Citeh have the money and Pep, Chelsea are searching for an identity, just as Arsenal have been since Chelsea pitched up. Chuck in the coming stadium issues [imagine 4+ years of Wembley] and if MP were to consider moving there, at best, he'd just be swapping the frying pan for a big old fire. Most managers are just a couple of failed jobs away from managing West Ham. Just ask David Moyes how likely it would be that he'd end up managing Sunderland, then West Ham, less than 4 years after being appointed at United?

    Could MP walk away from Spurs? Sure.

    Will he walk away this close season? I very much doubt it.

    Will he go to Chelsea? No.

    Nonsense or not, it has the benign effect of strengthening
    Pochettinos' hand in the "crazy ideas" discussion.
