PNE FA Cup 2nd RD Chairboys v Lilywhites 7th December

Having played some of their best football this season in cup games the Chairboys are relishing the visit of the Lilywhites and a certain Stewart Beavon to Adams Park and things are looking a little brighter than they looked at 5pm last Saturday after the midweek draw at Fratton Park with Antony Stewart getting a last minute equalizer. Games against the Lilywhites are always special occasions after a certain 4-2 victory at Wembley nearly 20 years ago I wish I was going to this one but I'm working and I've run out of leave. There are sure to be some changes with Dunne Arnold Stewart Max Craig Kuffour and Scowen all pushing for a start lets hope whatever the line up we can make it into the 3rd round draw

 

Doubt whether either side will want a reply, could be entertaining for those attending

Wanderers: Ingram, McCoy, Dunne, Stewart, Hause, Scowen, Cowan-Hall, Lewis (c), Knott, Morgan, McClure.
Subs: Harrison, Doherty, Spring, Wood, Kretzschmar, Kuffour, Craig
Preston: Rudd, Laird, Huntington, Clarke, Humphrey, Keane, Welsh (c), Brownhill, Buchanan, Beavon, Davies.
Subs: Stuckmann, Croasdale, Hayhurst, Nicholson, Byrom, Monakana

 

At least all those picked today will be playiing in their normal positions for a change ie no Wood in defence.

 

That didn't last long Dunne injured replaced by Wood

 

Dunne off injured and Wood takes his place in defence after 15 mins, me and my big gob!!

 

At least he's left the pitch early without a ban for a change!

Here we go. From the BBC stats it looks as though they won't let us have the ball. I don't think I'll be listening in today, unless I spot we are in with a chance. Can't see it though.

Bloody hell. I couldn't resist listening and it sounds frightening. Preston commentators seem very confident - cruise control. Sounds like it's just a matter of time before Preston kill it off. Although Wycombe are on the attack as I type.
