Well it was always going to be difficult, I mean the team does need to have more time together, ok pre season training was hard and the expected new signings haven't really materialised, but you never know after this showing, and yes I realise it was against very inferior opponents, but I do expect Forest Green to be pushing on near the top of the Conference, how about you guys what do you think ?
I noticed a certain thread on a certain board, stopped very abruptly when the mighty Forest Green started scoring goals
I know it's only a friendly but Forest Green scoring three goals !!! How many clean sheets will they keep this season then? Can't see the likes of RVP, Aguero, Bale and Dracula losing any sleep before playing them. In fact even Torres will be rubbing his hands at the prospect of facing them. Better strengthen Cardiff or else
Mikra very true, and a well honed strike force is a bonus, as is a strong defence, it's a pity some red shirted team have neither
Lets not get too cocky on the football front lads, we lost to Neath a few seasons back and had a great first year in the prem league if I remember correctly
i pointed out that their defence is rubbish and this proves it......they need a couple of defenders and a keeper sharpish...the midfield is not that good either...
without the 25 man squad finalised its impossible to say. But I will say that many were saying the same about us when we got promoted! as I see it now they have a chance just as much as anyone else, there needs to be 3 worse teams than them to stay up,not beyond the realms of possibility is it ? I think they need a new back 4 and 2/3 midfielders but we thought the likes of leon, gower, monk, lbritton, taylor ,davies and dyer would not be able to cut it but they did
To hell with bottom 3, I'm predicting they'll be bottom 2. Difference with us though NJ, is that we knew we'd stay up
Valley, I don't think many thought we would stay up tbh, we all hoped for it of course but we were all unsure of how it would go, normally after the first 10 games you can have a good idea
I think comparing us to them up the road is like chalk and cheese, I never had any doubt that we would stay up, as we keep the ball far to well for teams to hurt us, and that proved the case, but Kairdiff are without doubt going to be the whipping boys, I will even predict that they could well beat the Rams record, and that's saying something. And with 'Sam the man' back as President, then I think it's going to get rather spicy down east! He's already calling for a major overhaul of the team!!........... PS: They have told me, that they will take 6 points of us this season?? It was all I could do not to laugh!...............
I'm sorry but I honestly can't see Cardiff staying up I think this season the three promoted clubs will struggle, Southampton, villa, Norwich, Sunderland, Newcastle, Stoke, WBA, West Ham and us are looking much stronger. And for some reason they are unable so sign quality players that will keep them up, even though they have the money there. Cornelius looks good but I feel he's a bit young to rely on being the top striker there will be a lot of pressure on his head. I feel that you can't compare or promotion to Cardiff's because there is huge difference between us and them: Swansea never expected to go up and stay up, we were happy to be there even for one season. Cardiff have spent millions over the years chasing the dream and are really desperate to stay there. Swansea as a club is stable and is owned by genuine fans that only want what's best for the club, and will stick around for years Cardiff are owned by a foreign business man, who fancied owning a football club who probably never even heard of them before. Went in threw away the club's history, has no understanding of the culture of British football, throws tantrums when the fans disagree to his decision and threatens to leave. Not partially stable IMO I could go on and on, footballing philosophy, players, etc. .....
You can't compare us to them it's like comparing Moët with bleach. The 6 points will be the other way around Phil, the likes of Michu, Bony and Hernandez will run riot against the keystone cops in their defence. They won't even to be able to get the ball off us.
Yep, no doubt on that Dilli, they just don't get it, we have moved up a few cogs these last few seasons, but boy are they in for one hell of a shock!......
It just proves how high as a kite they all are, Aber has been passsing his weed around, none of the buggers make any sense!................
