    <doh>Now there’s a surprise!!

Sunak is under investigation by the Parliament’s standards watchdog over a possible failure to declare an interest. His wife has shares in Koru Kids a childminders agency, who will benefit from recent government proposals.

Just think, he conned parliament, changed all those laws in the budget, had a vote to make it all legal, is raising millions in cash to fund it all, what a display of love and loyalty to his wife, what an effort so she can make a few bucks

Lock up the crooked fool, the twisted wretch !!!

    Only when suits eh, RP....

More seriously though, I just don't care anymore. They are all as bad as each other. If Keir Smarmer was in charge, they would hound him until they found a skeleton to hang him by as well. It's more depressing than being a Gas fan, trying to follow politics with any passion and belief...

No, nothing about government paying friends £b’s pounds for useless PPE and writing it off either. Just about our Tory PM being bent as a nine bob note, no surprise there though, his predecessor is still being investigated for lying to parliament and the pair of them were the first PM and chancellor to receive FPN’s whilst in post. What a bunch !!!

There are people who abuse their position in ALL parties I don’t dispute that, I just expect more from the PM especially, whoever it is. Possibly it was an oversight it’s just not a good look.

I don’t live in Bristol, have no idea of your local government, if he’s breaking the law charge him.

Doesn’t change my point about Sunak. He stood on a platform of not being like Boris, and being transparent, it may be he is, so why not just be transparent and show us he’s followed the rules .

He's starting to sound like a certain other politician called Trump whereby any rules don't apply to him or his wife. The answer for him will be let's change the playing field so that I, or my wife, can't be constantly accused of breaking the rules - simples.

Until Sunak is removed never voted in by the people the Tories are history.
Big news coming from ukip tomorrow.
Hopefully an alliance with reform and a coming together to change politics in the uk.
God we need a change as the Tory and Labour governments are not fit to govern.

What about our next PM ?
I think Starmer has scored a spectacular own goal with his attack posters on Sunak.
Honestly they're all a bunch of chancers.
I've finished with voting, no doubt voter ID will get blamed on turnout next month. I'm wondering if we're all getting to realise what a waste of time it all is.

I’ve always believed (after Brewster’s millions) that we need a none of the above vote. Rather than gathering a non turn out vote this may show the government, trust is gone in all the party’s.

None of them are worth a carrot and that will be reflected in ultra low turn out in the May local elections and probably even more so at the next general election.
People are brow beaten and beyond caring.
All they do know is that whoever gets in will continue with the policy of high taxes, continuing to give the NHS ridiculous sums of money for something that can't ever be fixed and blaming Brexit or the war in Ukraine as the catalyst for it all.

The country and in fact the whole world, is more divided now than at any time in human history.

Whether it's religion, politics, gender identity, racial differences, climate debaters, environmentalists, anti/pro abortion etc. The list is becoming endless and the chance to govern all factions successfully is no longer possible.

Whether this has been one of the outcomes following on from Covid and the lockdowns remains to be seen but it's pretty depressing.

I don’t like the tactic either Redprint, I’ve no idea if it’s an own goal or not, but it’s not the way I want politics to go.

In fairness the Tories have used the tactic for years. That doesn’t make it right though.

Calling People names was one of Boris’s tactics, I criticised him for it so will criticise Kier too. Some on here delight in calling Kier Captain hindsight for instance, I find it juvenile and lowers the tone of the debate.

    started way before Covid........
since way back before the dinosaurs "creatures" [ humans are one! ] there has been a pecking order. .. comments like survival of the species / fittest / etc .. were pointed out by Darwin..
In the animal Kingdom if you "rebel" you tend to get killed/ eaten / banished, the weakest get left to die.
The human race, and in particular individual countries have fallen foul of the trap ... pity/ anything for a quiet life / I dont really care a **##? .... it starts off small, all wars are started small over something petty or the need to fulfil greed......

Take the illegal immigrants as 1 issue ... allowed a few to penetrate our defences, sent a load back whence they came and some stayed some hid from plain sight and melted into the population! It all starts with people with similar misplaced ideology like the chap on 5 live Nathan McGovern? said before race "Police are wasting time chasing protesters rather than addressing the climate and ecological emergency, and our broken relationship to animals. AND after it we didnt kill Hill Sixteen [ WELL you had a very big hand in it.. [was an Aintree specialist !] ........ Take his argument, an after thought after climate and ecological causes! Bloke is a self centred egoist that wants to be " leader of a protest group" but not much left to protest against.

I would seriously know how his stopping the race helps either of the very important things he mentions... is it damage to grass... horses farting athus adding methane to environment? I think he was on the 5 live programme and came over as the biggest T W O T ever to make a case for their actions! .. this is the small thing that can escalate ...
the goody goody 2 shoes in a dying situation ... maybe religion? ... see an opportunity to stand up for something that is contrary to the order of things ... now we have so many little hiccups they as acollective become disruptive as they all intertwine and add / distract or take away the reality of life!
