3pm kick off Saturday. Another important game and the lads look well up to the task now.
Callum Elders performance was outstanding last game and many others not far behind. I was always a fan of Emmanuel at rb but I don’t think anyone can complain about Lewie’s performances now, got better and better.
still don’t want greavesy round the back on set pieces, maybe next season. Swap his position on them with Jones.
Same team again I imagine, barring any injuries we don’t know about.
Regulation 2-0 to the Hull City.

Callum Elder insists that Hull City will continue to take things one game at a time as they prepare for this weekend’s long trip to Plymouth Argyle.

The Tigers head to Home Park looking for a third successive win after taking six points from their Easter fixtures against Crewe Alexandra and Northampton Town, results that saw them improve their position at the top of the League One table as they moved three points clear of Peterborough United in second and five clear of Sunderland in third.

However, rather than looking at the table, Elder’s only focus is on helping his side to repeat the kind of performance they put in against Northampton when they line up to face Plymouth.

“When you look at the table, it’s too tight for anybody to be getting over-excited,” said Elder.

“We just need to look at our own fixtures and make sure we keep putting in performances similar to what we saw on Monday.

“We were solid all over the pitch and everybody did their job to a high standard. We defended well, we broke quickly and we got ourselves into good areas. We looked strong, composed and it was another controlled performance. It’s all about us between now and the end of the season and we have another big game to come at Plymouth on Saturday.”

The Tigers’ ascent to the top of the table has been a whole squad effort, and that was highlighted over the Easter weekend as those coming on from the bench made a real impact with both Josh Magennis and Gavin Whyte finding the net after coming on as substitutes.

Elder was the man who provided the assist for Whyte’s effort against Northampton on Monday and the left back says the impact from the bench has been important.

“It was great to see our substitutes come on and make a good impact again over the weekend,” he added.

“I was delighted to see ‘Gav’ get another goal because he’s been great since he came in. It’s important to have everybody contributing at this moment in time."

I really hope we can take Gavin Whyte permanently next season, he's been brilliant.

Hope Adkins does us a favour with his resurgent Charlton at Sunderland.

I don’t fancy us tomorrow. We rarely do well against them when we need to, from what I remember.
Probably Halmosi will come on & score like he used to do. Then we signed him & he was ****.

We really can afford to drop any point at present, as that will give the opposition a boost, keep on winning and as GLP said let's hope Nigel can do us a favour.

I really hope not - a late winner could finish me off. I reckon the Crewe game knocked a year off my life at least. I want a 2 goal cushion at least but it's a long journey and it'll be a hard game for us.

My only worry is no Reece Burke in a backline going up against Luke Jephcott. If we keep him quiet, we should be ok.
