I am flying over for this one as my Grandson lives in Cornwall and has never been to a match. Looking forward to the game as my last ever match was the same fixture a number of years ago.
Several memories of Plymouth old and new, old was when a day trip to their place many, many moons ago resulted in all my travel expenses, gate price and food all being free! Manchester United had to play a European game at their place that year, can't remember what it was all about now, too long ago, could probably still research it. Not sure if it just had to be a neutral ground or whether due to football violence at the time, sure grumpygit will help out with the detail. United touts turned up to our League game against them, anyone that attended the game got a free voucher which entitled them to purchase a United ticket for the next game. So the touts were trying to gather as many vouchers as possible to sell on. I was a stubborn bugger even when younger and held out for top dollar ££££, can't remember the result of the game but I went home a very happy guy. It was funny in sense too, as the United touts joined the Gills supporters in cheering on our team and back in the days of aggro it made sure we all went home safely that day. More recently was home a game some years back, I used to run a youtube channel, defunct now, bit like Gills in the Blood does today but without the commentary, I got warning letters from the Football League, true story, they said i would be prosecuted if i continued to film small clips at games. In the end Youtube took down my vids down after they were threatened too. Seems now from what i see via Twitter that things are more lenient from that perspective.
Gotta tell you that you wuz robbed today. The goal that wasn't on 14 minutes actually was. It was all the way in and the lino missed it. No blame on the Ref who couldn't possibly have seen but the lino should have. Ref looked at lino and lino said no. To be honest I don't think it was only just over the line either but in by a clear foot at least. Have to say also that today were 2 equally poorish sides. Despite our points today I am not convinced we will maintain any sort of streak and I am not sure you have enough to get out of jail either. Your boys will travel home thinking they were seen off but they should be looking more at the quality they produce. Our boys shouldn't be celebrating their hollow victory and should be doing the same as your's. This is going to be a very long season.
Thanks sensible respect to you. I also saw that even your club Plymouth stated on social media it was a clear goal. But hey that's life. This league is a close call this season, too close! A point for the Gills would have jumped us clear of relegation places, that's how close and crazy it is.
It is a bit weird brb that's true. What is even weirder is that the best side I've seen all season so far down here was Charlton and that's the one we beat 2 - 0. I have seen several sides who have given us a kicking who were as crap as us so how they won at all let alone easily is amazing. We just got lucky today.
