With the feel good factor in full swing, i am really confident, so I'm going for a comfortable 4-1 town win!!
Plymouth playing rivals Bristol this evening, no Whittaker or skpper, PR Rocking, it's gotta be 2-1 Town and one of new boys scoring, and Ladapo finds the net too. A memorable match for ITFC.
A cautious and tense match, both teams wary of one another. My heart believes in a narrow 1-0 Town win, but my head says an uncharacteristic 0-0 draw.
Hoping for a good game and of course, a town win. My 15 year old nephew (Arsenal fan) shocked me last week. His friend’s dad is a town fan so both he and his friend have bought 1/2 season tickets for Ipswich. Plymouth will be his 1st game. His brother who is also an Arsenal fan, is not happy. Remember, uncle knows best
As we never play ultra defencive bore the drawers off everyone football this surely has to be a match with goals in it, its a high stakes, big crowd, highly charged occasion that we just have to win if we are to avoid the playoffs i feel.
No luck needed, just tonked Rotherham 4-1, Plymouth are not as good as Rotherham imo, so no reason why it can't happen. If you have a go at us, i think you lose comfortably....play defensive, you have a chance! That's not being arrogant, just think we will be too good for you, unless you park the bus and try to get a draw, we tend to struggle against sides that do this!! Hope you lot go up, with us of course!!
Thought I was the only one to predict defeats for us....but I agree with your sentiment, but will go for a 2-1 defeat as we'll be too over complacent
Good preview write up in the Guardian about this match. Plymouth aim to overturn history at Ipswich in titanic promotion tussle | League One | The Guardian
Good to see we now have 2 doom mongers! I will continue my unfailing at times ridiculous optimism for 60 yrs, and especially the last 10, to make sure we get out of this League. One helluva of a match, a season defining game. No mistake, the pilgrims are very good, and if they play our kind of intense, attacking style it could be goals galore and top entertainment. I will be with my Dutch mates again, they too will be yelling us on at the Amsterdam bar!
Nick Ames, the journalist, is indeed an Ipswich supporter. If I remember rightly, he sometimes posts on the TWTD forum as 'SomethingBlue'.
Started early boys, sun is out and it's very warm!! Scoggy, stuff Amsterdam....you need to be in Andalucía today for the game
