it has been hammering down in devon for 6 hours, still hammering down in east devon at 09.00. no sign of clearance which I understand has arrived at Plymouth. a heavy pitch and greasy ball. do hope town get an early goal for a change or even a goal. our marv now playing regularly for argyle. Could be an interesting result. Let's hope the wet pitch works for us and we get no cards.

Completely dried out pitch. Surely almost to a man these players are better than we had last season but it is not working. Bags of possession again today which probably only produced 2 clear cut chances and a header that their keeper pushed onto the bar. We gave away a stupid goal with Reid in oceans of space for a free header. Vernon was almost completely ineffective and Morgan looked better for them.

Thank goodness I have only York still to come for my away travels this year. Enough is enough.

Did not go but the report from the Shropshire Star seems to tell the familiar story of lots of possession but no cutting edge. Interesting to hear Ginnelly did well after coming on but there seem very little positives apart from that. We have a side that is not particularly suited to the style of football that prevails in this league and other sides have worked us out. The selection policy and formation changes from game to game have got the players all over the place at the moment. We really need a response from the players and manager soon because teams with away records like ours simply do not get promoted. Cheltenham is now a massive game for us (far more important than the Chelsea game) so lets all turn up at the weekend to give the lads a lift.

I take my hat off to you for travelling all that way with the team in its current run of away form. I will be at York too but I suspect the mood among the travelling faithful will start to become ugly if we keep putting in performances like that. I am not surprised Morgan did well - League 1 was probably a step too far for him but he gave a string of good performances for us in League 2. Akpro is a similar type of player but possesses even less of a goal threat. Vernon has lost his confidence and Mangan should come back in after his suspension. The midfield needs looking at to give it some more creativity - Wildig could be the man to provide that.

another disappointing away result. do hope MM does some tweaking before Cheltenham game as I am looking forward to attending. how come the lads can raise their game against cup teams way above them, but fail at bread and butter level. I have heard calls for Lawrence to play. are we needing a couple of wingers or strikers on loan? more to the point can we afford them.

only 11 games in, but we are 6 points from a relegation spot. on the face of it, this is fast becoming a learning season, although 6 points would get us back up there. as the Cheltenham manager said on Talksport this morning, League 2 has no obvious run away teams or relegation candidates.

To quote Mr Kipling, my 2 "lucky" teddy Bears and I will be exceedingly annoyed if we have splashed out on padded seats Hospitality to watch a bunch of un ripe Lemons. do hope the lads can up their game for Cheltenham! er Floreat Salopia!

    Atcham,
I agree League 2 this season looks as if any team can beat any other team on their day. I think the start of the season was a bit of a false dawn because we played a lot of the weaker teams so we thought we were a top team. With the new management and virtually completely new playing staff it was always going to take a bit of time to get consistently good results and perhaps it was a bit optimistic to expect to be challenging at the top of the table at this point. What we would like to see is some signs from the management that we are on the right tracks and improving but patience will need to be exercised by all.
