Alright, we lost two games to two top class teams But in both we played very well, In each case the scoreline was harsh in the extreme From the opponents relief, you could tell As always it´s not these games that will define Our season nor where we will end, In both we saw plenty to give us a sign That things are still well on the mend I think Hughton´s now found his best midfield three Again yesterday they all shone, The imperious Fer and Alex Tettey In support of Howson, running on Olsson it seems has usurped Garrido In the left back attack-minded role, And actually as ´creators of chances´ go He´s assisted our latest two goals And much more to come from that front I suspect If the last two games are any clue, And on t´other side Mr. Snodgrass elect Will improve now the baby´s come through But seriously though it´s the rest of the pack From mid-table down, when we meet Where points really will count, so for now sit back There´s no sign yet of losing our feet. Bang on the money yet again RBF, my biggest disappointment is some of those who really should know better are now calling CH on twitter, one of whom is Ian Butterworth's young son Ed!
Not seen the game as working away and could not be bothered to try and find a link but we cant expect to win these games, if we compete well that's all you can ask and lets not put to much pressure on CH he has done nothing wrong yet as I see, we may have spent a lot but the Gooners spent nearly double our investment on one guy and what a buy that was just enjoy watching the team have a go. Good stuff RBF, our supercook rules! OTBC
Thing is Dave this is the kids who's Dad was part of one of the biggest managerial catastrophes in the clubs history, actually I'd describe it as a complete and utter train wreck of a decision to hire that management team, not taking away his Dad's playing career as he was a legend but all the dislike of Hughton is most probably coming from a personal level based on how the club 'dealt' with his Father.
Excellent summary of our position RBF and as I said elsewhere, the games between now and Xmas will be a better barometer to judge how well we're playing.
Just to clear one thing I'm not sticking up for him, as for his fathers treatment he was part of a managerial team which embarrassed this club he might not be at fault but his stepped up to the mantle, when families and friends are involved most people can't put aside their personal attachment on things it unfortunately clouds their opinions, it's a professional business and it needs to be run efficiently and in a realistic world there is no room for sentiment.
I read a thread on another board yesterday, and there were some Arsenal fans saying better things about City than several of our own posters. It beggers belief.
