It's only the league cup.... But I am disappointed with tonight's result. What Town fan wouldn't be! But hey ho, three points on sat and things will be looking up agian. Onwards and upwards!
can we afford to go out of this cup ,no how do they expect people to turn up ,with results like this.its more of the same from the past seasons,we are what we are an average champion ship side going nowhere,
We are one game into the league season, have lost away to promotion favourites and have had one bad result in the cup. Yes its not great, but it's early days! We have a proven manager in MM and things are looking up with our academy. We have not been on the end of the hammerings we have of recent seassons, so let's give Mick a chance and get behind them. Cricky, if we win the next two games people will be saying were nailed on for the play offs....
Just think both our clubs lost on opening day, all be it we won tonite to get our season under way, however both managers will be under pressure so should be interesting what the fans reaction would be to defeat arfter high expectations for the season,I actually tip you boys as dark horses this season, but one set of fans won't be happy on sat, how do you think you'll react if you don't get the right result ?
Just got home from the match so still a bit tender after a poor performance, not to sure what positives can be taken, (apart from the fact it was only the cup!) but I disagree with that as we were not good enough, did not compete well enough for the first ball let alone the second ball. Some positive angles were Gerken looked ok at the back and we played better after the subs.
If we don't get the right result on Saturday we'll simply move on to the next match, nothing is won or lost in the first two weeks of the season, and Mick McCarthy's record at this level speaks for itself, whatever the result on Saturday, I don't think that he'll be under any pressure Not sure about Lomas though, how long do you think that your lot would give him if he doesn't produce, before his Wet Sham connection kicks in and the fans call for his head, or would he be given a genuine chance?
Disappointing result, but Mickmac will learn a lot about the team from it and we move on to Saturday, certainly no alarm bells ringing for me. BTW, surprised a few Norwich fans are making a big deal out of this considering their last cup match result!
