I get the feeling Uncle Tony won't sack him without ian Taylor's advice. It would be just another admission of failure in a long list by Fernandes. Ian is tactically inept and that is blatantly obvious for all to see. A formation that does not accommdate players that he selects or actually plays to the strengths of the players he selects. His record is shocking and the club has not progressed since his appointment. I can't blame him for taking the job as it was offered to him by Uncle Tony and that is where I truly lay the blame for the state of our club. What truly is his vision?, where does he see the club heading? Stupid amounts of money squandered on players and managers, a FFP fine looming due to farcical financial dealings and yet he has the audacity to call for patience!! Give me Flavio any day of the week, may have been only interested in the money but he was ruthless enough to get us where he wanted the club to be. I have totally had enough of the crap that goes on at QPR. We have a naive owner, a clueless manager and seem to be just a meeting ground for old ex players. Please Tony get rid of Holloway, tell us your intentions with our club.
Share you view 100% about TF but it is what it is. Most on here thought we would be relegated this year or close to so what the problem with facing up to reality? I personally think we have enough to do OK in this division and I predict a mid table finish within the group separated by a couple of points ... there will be 6/7 teams in that sector as normal . If that happens then it’s been a good season in my book ... still we won’t know that until May. Carry on moaning until then
What a load of rubbish. Take your head out of the sand. This season has been awful. The table does not lie. Hollow is worse than JFH and Benny yet they get sacked because they were not taking us in the right direction..Hollow is a complete muppet of a manager and is tactically inept. What is more worrying is that i keep reading fans that are not going anymore or will not be renewing next season. Bobmid is spot on.
The signs are there for us all to see. We are breaking records for all the wrong reasons!!! Can anyone tell me what ian thinks our strongest team Is?? Cos he can' after God knows how long!!!
I wonder what progression people are expecting to see or even what their definition of progression is. I thought in our circumstances with our financial restrictions, FFP, clearing out the last of the high earners and a new emphasis on youth we were all expecting a few years of pain before we start to see a new QPR emerge. The immediate on the pitch action isn't showing much progress yet (although there are seeds of potential) but I think the club itself is progressing and going about business more sensibly and frugally and trying to build more stable foundations. However we still need to be good enough on the pitch to survive in this division and I guess this where the most pressing problem lies. I don't think TF will want to sack Ollie but if we don't get some results soon it may be inevitable.
Worry away then you have little sympathy from me. Our direction as a club is nothing more than stability in the championship for me hence why I won’t allow your rubbish to ever eat me up. You possibly watch too much TV football? It’s a common sadness and reflection of modern times.
There are teams in this division with smaller budgets, lesser players that are doing better than us. It's down to the manager and how he works with the team. Not long ago I mentioned Warnock and Rowlett and look where they are in the table. FFP is no excuse for the way we are playing or the tactics on the pitch. We have a cr2p manager who will not be taking us in the right direction.
Exactly this. What has FFP got to do with tinkering with a central midfielder at right back or purchasing loads of wingers and then not playing any??? Les can you find me a couple of wingers on a budget please? Of course which side do you want? Either, doesn't matter cos I wont play with wingers anyway!! Great business sense. It' like buying 3 chickens for a vegetarian
It doesn't. A mate said to me yesterday about Hollow saying he was a 'funny guy'. I said so is Lenny Henry but I wouldn't want him managing my team. The bloke is a clown who plays up to the camera. He rants and raves acting like he has passion but in truth, he has lost that hunger which he had the first time around. he has spent too much time clowning around on TV as a pundit. His record and tactics at Millwall should have been enough evidence but sadly TF is stupid. This will all end in tears and Hollow will leave a failure and my memories of the great work he did first time around will be overshadowed by the inept bloke I see today
I think we have to accept we can't expect to be competing for automatic promotion in the next two or three years but we do have the right as paying customers to expect a decent standard of football. Look at Brentford who are a smaller club than us but on what must be a smaller budget have produced a competitive team that plays a passing game that is easy on the eye and capable of beating anyone in the division on their day. We are in a sort of limbo in which we have a manager with no playing style or identity, no clear tactics and no idea of his best team. Glaring deficiencies in the team such as proper wing backs, no out and out striker etc have not been addressed. On a limited budget the scouting has to be spot-on and it's here that we have failed in a big way. Too many players have been brought in who were nowhere near the quality nor the type of player required and the idea that we sign players who can multi-task positions is flawed. Until we have a proper direction and style of play and players matched to that we will continue to be an unattractive watch and the crowds will decline as a result. Those are proper concerns as all the teams below us are beginning to get results, the margin for error is very slim...
Probably been to just as many as you so will forgive that. I live overseas currently so not worth it currently. Have a pop it’s your right on here not a problem. I also have the offer direct from the club for tickets if I need them It was a honour to help the club out when I did and will continue to do so unconditionally I wasn’t impressed nor am I with the media voice but that’s just me and it’s just a football club as said. Proud of my involvement with QPR and will continue to defend the efforts the current regime as they are working extremely hard under a legacy of very poor business decisions made. I respect we should all be cross at that .
Agree Brentford have earned the right to compete in this league and are now looking at new stadium are they not? We have no divine right to exist We do have the equal desire to compete and it’s not where the fan base wants or expects us to be ... to them I say accept that and move on. No point some fans moaning about stuff each season and talking about hard earned cash etc . Don’t spend it you will be replaced by new fans ... fact of life and i believe the club must mean something to attract new followers and fans ... the market of West London is massive no many understand this st all. A few years back we were hated for having money now at least that has died down. We can rebuild but in the right way
I think you are wholly wrong to question Ollie's passion, don't portray your opinion as fact you can't possibly prove one way or the other. For me Ollie is no where near as zany in front of the media as he used to be. We won't find anyone with more passion for QPR than him, not saying whether that's good or bad. You can slag his tactics (or lack of) but passion and hunger I think not. Also he has (in my opinion) not acted like a clown in any way since taking charge.
I admire and respect your positivity. For far too long, I think the negativity and high expectation of QPR fans, and no doubt fans of most clubs, is counter productive. I believe that fans have a job to do, regardless of how things are going on the pitch. 100% commitment, vocal and visual passion during the 90 mins. Talk about it afterwards. This has not ever been my experience at QPR. People will support, but only when things are going their way. That's not how life is. I realise that I'm really in no position to say this, given I've not been to a game for about 14 months, but I'm saying it anyway, and would have said the same thing at any point in my QPR supporting career. We're worth a goal a game, every game.
If Ollie does go, whether jumping or getting pushed, how many managers would want to come to a club with very limited resources, a FFP fine hanging over thier heads, go to a club that hasn't had a cup run in donkeys years, has a few potential saleable assists, a club that needs a ground due to the lack of being able to develop Loftus Road. I am annoyed at yesterday's defeat, but how many times have we lost to clubs that on paper we should be beating.
I don't think there are many Championship teams with budgets less than ours now full stop. Of these few Bristol City are doing very well, not sure that Millwall and Brentford have it as financially tight ourselves but they are doing a bit better. Then there are Burton, Barnsley and Bolton doing slightly worse than us, and get my 100% support to keep on doing a bit worse starting Saturday! Yes, I said we should never have sacked Colin. But we can't get him back now.
It is what it is Cliche or not I stand with any fan who understands that Being positive isn’t being blind The club has a massive legacy kudos attached to it as the underdog maybe A club many looked upon with admiration Chuck in a load of cash and silly ambitious dreams and it went very quickly I hope in a way we are fined because we deserve it ... perfect way to ruin a club was performed and we are left with a unhappy fan base who just wants to win win win I say it’s stops here and we rebuild Maths says that cannot happen today £75m for Van Dyke Chitty Chitty Bong Bang Have a thought for Sunderland football up there is worth a lot more in people’s lives imo They themselves are learning a tough lesson
