paha not gonna disagree with that im still hoping di matteo will get the job but he seems out of the running now it seems to be between makay hughton robins and shearer
 
How wonderful would it be to hear an announcement tomorrow: "Cardiff City football club would like to announce the appointment of Martin O'Neill as our new manager"

We can but dream...
 
meh we would have to spend the majority of our budget on his wages id rather hughton i reckon he'd want less that shearer and would be more successful

Thing is, we don't know what the budget is.

And O'Neill wouldn't dream of joining unless concrete deals were in place funds-wise for rebuilding the team.

Regardless of his wage, if he joined, we could afford to rebuild, else he wouldn't have joined in the first place.

Oi, Pontin...state the obvious much? Every manager since Frank Burrows in '98 has been English, and the 4 before him.

As long as he gets us a squad that can compete on the pitch, he can be from Mars with 3 heads for all I care.

WTF...Alan Shearer is hardly a managerial heavyweight. At least he has said talks broke down:
AS: "Give me more money"
CC: "No"
AS: "K well stick your job"
CC: "**** you Mr.Shearer. Please close the door on the way out."

Geez...If Hughton is ready to sign, just sign him and get on with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Plan and simple Alan Shearer I just don’t get it!!!

All these managers who by the way are out of work at the moment and we are talking to a TV pundit who has only managed for 8 games. Like I said I just don’t get it!!

Not saying he would, just saying if he were to even consider it, he would expect certain promises to be made funds-wise.

Any announcement on him being our manager would mean that these promises have been made, so regardless of what percentage of our budget went on his wages, he would obviously believe enough was left to rebuild the squad.

Was purely speculation, I wish it wasn't, but sadly...
