£21m for fletcher and ward??? So based on that and the fact that we offered 12m for fletcher (still think that's 3-5m too much) we value ward at 9m??? This is just stupid money for one just better than average player and one ****e left back?? I bloody hope this is just idle gossip!

This is comical stuff from the papers/media outlets. There is no way on this earth Sunderland will hand over 21m for these two. If Jez Moxey pulls that off and sells Jarvis for 9m, he'd have raked in 30m for two decent players and a donkey. That is Ashley type fleecing.
Who is Ward ?, why not take a chance with Michael owen, he has been freed by Man u i reckon he can still do it, i reckon we should see if any moves for Dempsey, him working with Sess behind/with him would be great.
If there is any truth in this, and i hope to hell there's not, then i think if the club can afford to spend this type of cash on one half decent player and a donkey they should have the decency to reduce the price of season tickets by half. I for one would not like to see my hard earned cash spent in this way.
