There seems to be a game of "should he stay or should he go" - some playing the game so well that they win either way. I'm not advocating for Hughes to go as I'm not sure what will come in, however if given the chance I'd love Hughes to answer the following:

Why didn't you go for Simon Kjaer who was available all Summer from Wolfsborg or Bjelland or Jores Okore - Either one of these 3 are on a different level to what we have in central defence and your scouts were e-mailed - long, long ago!

Why are you continuously playing SWP? - He has scored one goal in 40 matches! And you wonder why there is little goal threat!

Why are your players stating that you told them what would happen against West Ham? - Worrying thing here is, is there something wrong with your communication skills that our players can't remember what you've told them for more than 1/2 hour?

Why oh why have you included Hogan in the 25? - He wasn't good enough at Championship level

Why are you playing Clint Hill left back as opposed to Traore? - Hill is honest and limited, and the most extreme of his limitations is lack of pace, a pretty important attribute for a left back nowadays.

Why isn't Zamora being a nasty nuisance like he used to be? - Can only remember hating him for being so awkward and always complaining and winning free kicks by getting on the ref's nerves. Don't get me wrong he's playing OK but it's just not him.

People say you have bought well and some even cheap - With the wages these guys are on do you think we're getting value for money from Andy Johnson, J.S. Park, Samba, Onuoha and dare I say Dyer, whose contract you chose to extend? Mbia, Hoillet - Jury out.

Do you feel that 2 Away points since you joined in January is sufficient return on your Mangement team's cost? - There is no team worse off out of all 92!

People keep harking on about injuries and wait till we get a full squad at our disposal - Who's left to come back in defence? - Only Fabio and personally he's no better than our own Traore -What's going to change?

Do you believe your management style is motivational or authoritarian? - You seem to be trying both at the moment with what seems like mixed messages.

Can you please stop saying "We didn't get what we deserved out of the game" at your post match interviews?

Do you think any of the following could do a better job than you?

    Rafa Benitez
    Harry Redknapp
    Alan Curbishley
    Kasper Hjulmand
    Malky Mckay
    Ian Holloway
And seeing as you've got a less point per game average than this fella - Paul Hart!

Seriously, there is so much wrong that it's scary, coupled with the fact that this would be the worst of any year to go down and that I don't trust Mr. Air Aisa any more than Briatore or Ecclestone I'm scared. But Mr. Hughes if you try this out for the next match things might just get a little better:

    Green (Ceaser injured?)

    Mackie Bosingwa Onuoha Traore

    Diakite

    Faurlin Granero

    Hoillet

    Taraabt

    Zamora

Worried about the left side but most of Everton's threat comes from their left.
And I'd even give Mr.Benitez a call as a certain other failing ex Man U manager B.Robson once did with Mr.Venables.

Come on you RRRRRRS and come on Mr.Hughes - pull your finger out and develop a personality FFS!

Was a result of a deliquent 3 year old smashing up my old laptop and so was missing the letter R. Didn't realise when I joined up the old 606 so kept it ever since.

By the way the delinquent 3 year old is a Chelsea fan who loves Taraabt and always used to laugh at Kenny. Has promised to half change allegiance if I buy him an RRRs top when we're in London next week. Don't see it though!

I'd like to think our scouts don't just follow up every e-mail asking them to scout players all over the world.

No - They just pop down the road to give a 3 year contract to a 31 year old crock! Or take the easy route and offer a further contract to a guy whose proved a crock and we have the chance to get him off our books! Or just go plain lazy and look up any players that have previously been under Hughes!

Tell me Watford - What would you have made of Kjaer,Bjelland and Okore as opposed to Hill,Ferdinand and Nelsen?

No you don't know and unfortunately neither have our scouts.

How do you know he was not in contact with any of them players or their agents? They could have turned him down? The same for many other players...this is how the transfer window always is, constantly moving onto the next player in the hope you can do a deal...how do we know how many centre backs MH and his team approached? Their were rumours circulating on Kjaer so wouldnt be surprised if his agent was in discussions at some stage...he could well of been asking for silly wages, or simply didnt want to play for us.

I think Nelsen was a very good signing personally...Hill is good cover and to be fair, wouldnt normally be starting...Ferdy can perform well on his day, but I have to admit can be a little inconsistent.

Whilst I dont really agree with many of your comments, I completely agree on these two...

Why are you continuously playing SWP?
Why oh why have you included Hogan in the 25?

This is pretty imbalanced post where you're clearly trying to eke out every ounce of negativity possible from Hughes tenure

    1) How do you know he didn't look at these players? It's pretty clear there were a lot of targets on the table throughout the transfer window. There were constant whispers of us being linked with one CB or another. From Mike Rigg's interview on London Call in, it sounds like Michael Dawson was on the cards and a "done deal" right up until the last moment; when the club decided it wouldn't work financially. Mbia has only played a few games for us, give him a chance at CB before making judgement.

    2) SWP hasn't actually been that bad. He's been solid, and was present during two excellent performances V Chelsea/Spurs. Solid players like him lead to a more balanced looking side, so i can see why Hughes picked him during this initial "gelling period". I'd agree it's time to give someone else a go though.

    3) This is just another attempt to put a negative spin on something right? I'm not sure how you can suggest that Hughes giving the players an accurate description of what they're going to face is a bad thing. If he'd given them an inaccurate description, i'm assuming you'd be slating him too? He can't really win can he. Lay some blame at the doors of the players for this one.

    4) I watched all of the preseason game and he looked fairly decent to be honest. He's got the skill levels of a premiership player, and looks like he has the work ethic of one too. In interviews with him he looks a pretty vocal character, and contributes to the group as a whole with his attitude. Obviously in hindsight now we've got all these injuries, it would be preferable to have young/DJ in the squad, but i don't think it was such a crazy decision including him in the 25 originally.

    5) Traore has been injured for a long time. He hasn't trained a lot over the last few weeks. He isn't match fit, thus why he wasn't played for the full 90 Vs WBA.

6)He's been one of our best players this season? Your description of how you'd like him to be pretty much sums up exactly how he's played for the majority of games.

    7) Why are you targetting these players specifically? Johnson has a cruciate injury, that was very unfortunate, why are you blaming hughes though? And sure Samba hasn't played much so far, but again, that's not Hughes fault. He looked decent for the brief time he was on the pitch V West Ham, and i'm pretty sure he'll be in the side V Everton, so he can still have a big effect on our season yet. The wage bill has been reduced overall anyway i thought? I'm sure we're getting a lot better value out of these players than hulse/bothroyd et al. who weren't signed under Hughes.

    8) I agree, it's pretty diabolical.

9)People are talking about the disruption the injuries have caused, it sounds like you're trying to downplay the effect they've had in another attempt to have dig at hughes. We haven't had a full strength back line since the Chelsea game. In the WBA game we had to rush Bosingwa/Ferdinand back, both of whom can't have been match fit. Ferdinand certainly didn't look it..
Fabio needs to come back, the rest need to regain fitness, and they need to have a chance to form a consistent back 4 again. Mbia needs a chance to adjust to playing CB for us too.

Why have you dropped Nelsen in your suggested lineup by the way? Is it really a viable option to start Jamie Mackie at right back? I know he's played there before.. But surely even someone like Harriman would be a safer bet.

You don't know that. I'd only vaguely heard of Kjaer and the other two names weren't familiar to me at all but Bjelland and Okore have never played outside of the Danish league so are completely untried at a level anything like the Premier League. I'm not saying they aren't decent players, just that I'd rather a top flight football club didn't devote resources to scouting unknown players on the recommendation of a fan.

I'm not an ITK, and will never purport to be. But in answer to you Grifter -
1.Okora received an offer from Leicester, Ipswich and Hoffenheim - He wanted Premier League to offset not playing Champions League - He plays for FC Nordsjaelland - look out for him next time. Kjaer is in a horror position at Wolfsburg - To my mind Kjaer is consistently better than Agger for Denmark- Will require around the 40 grand a week though.
2.SWP hasn't been that bad - Sorry one goal in 40, even Tim Howard can match that!
3.How can a positive be made of you being prepared for something that then you are so patently not. Sorry somewhere along the line communication is getting a tad lost.
4.Hogan in the squad - Your choice, would rather have gone with Balanta as he at least has something, although not sure what, in the 2 times I saw him (once WW) he struck me as something similar to V.Moses. I cannot say Hogan has ever shown anything to warrant a place in a Premier League squad. Although I do hear he is a really charming man who everyone really likes.
    5. Sorry, he hasn't played him when he is fit - Granted he wouldn't be my first choice left back but still a better option than Hill. Didn't look too off the pace to me on Sat.
6.No, disagree, Zamora is not on his antagonistic, nasty A game. We see all the games here live and granted it's nowhere near the same as being there but you do get a small insight.
7.We have to judge Hughes on what he brought in - If we go back through the anals of not606 most if not all were saying this man is a crock, suggest the wage bill has not been greatly reduced but then none of us know. Also if you believe anything a CFO says than so be it but in my experience I know how creative they ca be!
    8. Great that we see eye to eye on that because that's ultimately what's going to kill us, the miracle of Loftus Road March,April,May 2012 is one that rivals Lazarus and we should not expect to be repeated.
    9. Too much is made of the injuries, I asked whose out and to my mind we can only expect Fabio to come back, if you haven't made contingencies for the Dept. which suffers traditionally the most amount of suspensions/injuries already then to my mind it's ill preperation so soon.
    10. I would drop Nelsen as he has no pace - The Premiership is all about pace, he's definitely an OK player to have around but in my first 11 he wouldn't be getting in it.

Have seen Mackie do a job, would rather have Luke Young but he's not in the 25!

And as for sitting on the fence - I don't want Hughes out until the right man has been identified and procured, we don't need any Magiltons,Harts,Harfords(both), Houstons,Dowies etc.

Will however accept a Benitez, Holloway and a number of good youngish proffesional managers plying their trade well in Europe.

Then and only then and if TF has the dough can we say good riddance to a man that has moved us not one iota forward.

    All Hail Danish!!!!!!

"is there something wrong with your communication skills that our players can't remember what you've told them for more than 1/2 hour?"

I think that is the KEY. It seems, he tells the whole squad of the overall game plan in the dressing room, and then he pulls individuals aside and gives them extra instructions without realizing that they clash. It's so obvious from the way the players react and look confused as to which plan they should play - and most of it in defense. It's all on Hughes' part, he can blame it all on injuries if he wants, but there is no reason why he can't just play 5 at the back to plug the holes with what he does have available. It's not as if the wingers and midfielders can't get back or tackle. Just give them the instructions to do so!
