One report is saying Lampard has offered to drop his salary by 100,000 per week to the measly sum of 50,000 per week, to stay at Chelsea.
Abramovich is quoted as saying NO, Lampard will definitely go.
Someone is absolutely crazy, and it's not Lampard.

Uncle Harry will see that 50, and probably go to 60. Looks like he's LR bound.

If that is true, we surely will become a laughing stock! I cannot believe it!

Why not, I can fully believe it.

As of late I have watched Super franks expressions when he is substituted or benched and he doesnt look happy about it but he hasnt rocked the boat, he shows passion on the pitch, and he is Chelsea through and through, and if this is true then Roman just sign him up, all he has to do is see the influence Giggs and Scholes have had at United. But to me I think Roman still blames the likes of Lampard, Cole and Terry for not backing his man AVB when he was there

I think this whole Roman is on a witch hunt for the players who caused AVBs downfall is made up. Anyone can see AVB brought it on himself.

If you are correct, that means that lampard's current wage is a massive £150k a week! I can only think that mr A wants to change the team and get rid of the 'oldies'. When you think that joe Cole earned £100k a week at Liverpool. <ok>

It's hardly that clear mate when they immediately turned it around when he went, literally the moment he went out the door.

RDM ain't a bad guy but he'd not have spurs where they are, not a tactically astute manager..yet.

Besides proof is in the pudding, AVB has spurs 3rd and RDM got sacked when they both started a new season although AVB only joined Spurs in the summer. RDM had a bit of last season and a very good squad. Spuds lost VDV and Modric.

AVB faced a struggle no doubt, fair play to the guy and how he went about it. A likeable able manager for sure.

I could see why RA would look at Spurs above Chelsea and be pished VB was never given a real chance, he could also be taking his own failings out on the old guard, in the end he sacked AVB but maybe blames the players for forcing his hand via bad performances.

The form and attitude turnaround when avb got sacked was stark. They wanted him gone.

The OP story may be true, 50k is all lamps is going to get going to Stoke ect. Why not stay for same. If it is true they should keep him, for sure.

Perhaps AVB wasn't the onle one who was sacked last March. Older players who were kicking up a stink don't appear to be getting new contracts.

Tucked away on the BBC football site, and credited to some dodgy paper or other, hence the title of my post. No idea if it's got any merit, but there you are. BBC site does get plenty of stuff right, as well as plenty wrong, always worth a look.
If I was RA I'd take the deal and split the 100gs between Mata and Hazard!!!!
