Hope this is all bollocks.. Emanuele Giaccherini is âflatteredâ by the possibility of joining Napoli, said the Sunderland manâs agent. Rafa Benitez is searching for a new versatile attacking winger after Lorenzo Insigne was ruled out for five to six months by a knee ligament injury. Italy international Giaccherini is potentially ideal, as the 29-year-old is already familiar with Serie A and played only 140 minutes of football in all competition with Sunderland this season. âI know their director of sport Bigon and if he wants a player I represent, then he calls me, which he hasnât done so far,â agent Furio Valcareggi told Radio Kiss Kiss. âGiaccherini gets on well in Sunderland, but heâs flattered by the possibility of joining Napoli and a return to Serie A is also intriguing. Emanuele is similar to Insigne in terms of characteristics. âIf Bigon called, could a deal go through? I donât know, but when you want to achieve something, you achieve it: thereâs nothing holding him back.â Napoli would ideally bring in Giaccherini on a six-month loan with option to buy, especially as Insigneâs injury lay-off period is six months http://app.football-italia.net/?ref...flattered-napoli#article/footballitalia-58553
With January not far away this is traditionally when agents crawl out of their holes and start spreading ****. He's just fishing mate, let's hope we don't bite.
Aye anah mate, was just generalising and i'm bracing myself for more cos every twat and his dog now knows we need to strengthen in Jan, we'll be linked with everyone.
Okay, we'll have Higuan in return. Feel for Giaccherini, I think he would have shone this season but injury has wrecked it thus far. Would love to see Giaccherini Alvarez and Johnson behind Fletcher.
But injury and settling time has kept him from a run in the team. I'll not hang him out on his size until he's had his run in the team as I know small player can adapt.
Sums my feelings up perfectly. Looked good early doors, real shame for him. Can't see this stroy being true as Gus has said he would have been a big player for us if it weren't for his injury.
The agent says the Napoli DoS hasn't even rung him about it yet. He's just inviting enquiries, that's all. If Giac doesn't want to go, he won't.
One to keep hold of hopefully as I think he has the potential to make an impact He's not much use if he's injured all the time though
