From 3rd down in the table I fancy our chances against any team. Boro could become the toughest.

Well we took Sheffield to the wire with ten men and our youthful inexperience was punished second half against Burnley so would have a go at them as well.
However there's a little matter of half a season to negotiate first then we'll see.
Trying very hard not to get ahead of myself this season, the old football cliche of one game at a time should be kept in mind.

Baby steps is fair enough, but no harm in having goals ( no pun intended )

We're definitely in with a shout. Burnley and Sheffield United will run away with the automatics imo (I don't buy the "we were unlucky against SU" narrative - they took their foot off the gas imo), but we're just as good as any other team in the league, on our day.

... Of course, there's about 12 other teams who could say the same <laugh>

We definitely can make the playoffs but I still think it’s a long shot (even mathematically it’s about 3-1). The players and fans absolutely should believe we can. My fear is fans start believing we should and get impatient when we trend away.

Getting into the playoffs will be a remarkable achievement and we need to remember that rather than assume it.

especially considering our young squad, and that it’s not even January yet and we’ve already lost Ellis Simms and both Pritchard and Stewart and heavily and plausibly linked away, and Amad COULD be recalled at any time if Utd decide to sell him to cash in now

Just saying this time last year we had just beaten Sheff Wed 5-0 at home and were top of League One. Then by the end of January we lost 6-0 to Bolton and sacked Lee Johnson and looking doomed

Safe to say this league is absolutely mental. I don't remember the championship being so tight before?
