I preface this thread with the fact that I am a Saint. We may have our differences on the field but the vast majority of us don't want to see you get wound up because there are a bunch of muppets running your club off the field. Would it be possible for Pompey to take unpaid, part-time loan players from the local Non-League sides. I'm pretty sure that there are Pompey fans and players playing for the likes of Havant and Waterlooville, Fareham and Gosport who would jump at the opportunity to play for Pompey. Yes, they'd probably be outclassed on the field, but we're drinking in the last-chance saloon and the barman has already called Last Orders and desperate times call for desperate measures.
If we were struggling to survive in the Conference (or maybe even League Two at a push) such an exercise may have some level of feasibility, but at this level, to quote Captain Mainwaring.... "I think you're delving into the realms of fantasy there Jones"
