I don't want to be pessimistic but , even though we're playing a lot better recently. we're still not picking up the points. I just hope that Harry can keep the boys motivated and stop the heads dropping again; we really need 3 points against Leicester
We aren't going to pick up many points on the road so if we fail to get all three at home to Leicester I will start to get very worried.
Galvin's from Larbert in Stirlingshire. Football's definitely a results based business. ( One for the cliché thread there. ) Our recent performances will count for nothing if we can't continue that into the next five games and chalking up a few wins. The pressure is beginning to mount now.
Yes, very disappointed yesterday, lost the tempo of the last few games and missed the Chileans but did not like our midfield and think Arry found them a place each rather than picking a team that would cause problems. Newcastle were confident after winning 6 games but there wasnt too much to worry about but Arrys mentality means we have no chance away
He is too afraid of not picking the big names, no other manager would be playing Fer and Barton the wings with Phillips and Hoilett sat on the bench. He either needs to summon up enough testicular fortitude to drop one of his big name signings Fer or Sandro or the team captain Barton, tough call but playing 4 central midfielders is just bad management.
I'm afraid Leicester is a must win for us and they are no push over. At least the bookies favour us to win that one! Burnley win two on the trot. I don't think we've done that so far in 2.5 seasons in the PL. Basically, we lose and every one around us draws or wins. Bad w/e for QPR. We had a sense that we would need to be hanging on and not cut adrift by Christmas to see if TF & Co would risk (yet another) roll of the dice in January. Seems that is the plan - intentional or otherwise.
Totally agree. The next few home games are huge and the players will know that. I'm not too confident tbh. I think we'll do very, very well to get out of the **** we're in!!
We lost to Tottenham, Liverpool and Hull all teams struggling this season whilst others near the bottom have taken points from them. We have played a lot better of late but we need points now and we need them against Leicester, Burnley, WBA and Crystal Palace at home. If we can't do that we will give ourselves a mountain to climb. If we don't pick up points soon we could be in the bottom three all season.
Under Mark Hughes we won 5 home games on the trot that saved our season, although apart from the Man City finale we were horrible away in between those games.
Harry himself delivered us that particular prize on 9 march 2013 when we beat Sunderland at home 3-1. The week before we beat Saints 2-1 away.
These next four home games will all be extremely hard matches & possibly we won't see any football played at all. I wish I could trust us to play with the same determination as we have shown recently but I do have a few doubts about that! I so hope I'm wrong but losing yesterday may have brought that to an end. Just like defeat at Villa did two seasons ago.
