After many years, I've decided to start playing the guitar again. I want to learn some classic songs.

Any suggestions for the best ever accoustic guitar tracks that I can steal the TAB for of the interweb?

Seriously though, if I turn on the radio and hear one more stupid lassie strumming an acoustic guitar and singing like a 12 year old I'll throw it out the window.

I gave up the acoustic guitar when I was five and then learned the drums. Still in a band now and still touring all over Scotchland.

I actually did the old piano joke when I spoke to the surgeon after the first operation on my hand injury. I asked him if I would be able to play the piano and he looked a bit uncomfortable before saying summat like "I think you must realise that won't be possible" and I said that's ok I couldn't play it anyway. We had a laugh.

    Absolute pish <ok>

John Mayer is good. Some of his songs are ideal for ****s and *****s but his technical ability is not in doubt. Iv just learned Neon (hard) but In Your Atmophere is a good one to start off with, although it is played in an open E tuning

Purple Haze sounds good on an acoustic guitar. Though not as good as Voodoo Chile on the recorder.

I think JM's version of Man in the Mirror might be the first song I learn to play when my new strings arrive at the weekend.

Or maybe "Through the Barricades" by Spandau Ballet.

I think I might be turning gay.
