Players we should sign: Charlie Adam

Charlie Adam the Blackpool captain is someone who we should break the bank to sign.

Adam has had a fantastic season for the seasiders and was very close to moving on in the January transfer window. Newcastle would face competition from clubs like Liverpool and Tottenham however our main selling point should be that he will walk straight into our team - he can run our midfield whereas at Liverpool and Spurs he would have to play backup to players like Steven Gerrard and Rafael Van Der vaart.

Adam has the creative spark we need in the centre of the park, he is deadly from set pieces, and he has the heart and passion to drive the team forward. He really is showing his quality even in a poor Blackpool side and he no doubt could make the step up to the next level.

I think Charlie Adam has done ok, but has had best part of only one season in the top flight, as you say Spuds and Bindippers are after him and I think the 12-15M that Olly wants for him could be better spent.

 

Agreed. CA will be certainly not be wearing a black n white shirt shirt next season even if we try to break the bank. Isn't he going to be a free agent at the end of the season??

 

Not certain but I doubt it, The Donkey Botherers would have taken the money for him in January if he was.

 

I think they still wanted to hold on to him and lose out on the fee as the cost of dropping out of the EPL would be far more. I'm not 100% either

Wouldn't mind Charlie Adam but I think he might go to Spurs or Liverpool. They'll need him more. Good player but don't think he's needed. Just ask yourself this..

Is he better than Tiote? No.
Is he better than Nolan? Maybe. He's the better ''Overall'' CM and he's younger but he doesn't have Kevin's finishing ability or PL experience.
Is he better than Guthrie? Yes.
Is he better than Gosling? Currently yes, potentially Gosling is the better player IMO.
Is he better than Barton? No, although his passing is on par and he's younger.

I'll have as competition/cover for Nolan and Tiote. Barton is better as a RM.

Why should I be banned for posting decent comments on here? Ok so at first I was encouraging people to read my blog - what is wrong with that? Everyone on here is a NUFC fan so I thought they might want to read it, but since I had a few sarcastic comments I no longer add the "Please read my blog" line. Why do you have to be like that? If people want to read it then fine let them, if not then no problem.

I have as much right as you to post my opinion on here.

Sorry but I have to disagree here, have you not seen Charlie Adam's finishing this season? It's been superb. Would definitely have him over Nolan.

But alas, the argument is pointless as he won't be coming to Newcastle. I reckon he'll go to Man U as Fergie looks to replace Scholes.

 

I think it's more the fact that this site has it's own blogging tools that you could be using rather than poaching users.

The prices being thrown around for Adam, he's a good player but we don't need him that much.
