    Starting today, I am writing about players we should avoid. This summer I think we should avoid Wes Brown.
    Sol Campbell will no doubt leave the club in the summer, or maybe even move into the coaching staff so that will leave us one centre defender down.

    Manchester United's Wes Brown is not an acceptable replacement. Brown came through the youth ranks at Old Trafford and has been a fringe for the past 10 years, but has never really been a constant starter, even when injuries have presented him the oppertunity. Brown has bags of experience and could help our younger / less experienced defenders learn the game. As Michael Carrick has shown, it is possible to spend your entire career at Man Utd and pick up England caps if you are not quality.
