Players we should not have bought last summer.

.From Southampton alone we got three players, namely
1.Dejan Lovren.
2.Adam Lallana
3.Rickie Lambert (Free)
4.Mario Balotelli #
5.Any other?(Name)
Maybe next season we are going to be singing a different song about some of them if they
are still here. Surely, Mario Balotelli was a terrible mistake

 

It was a mistake his surname didn't begin with a L.

 

Balotelli was a big risk, if it came off then huge win for Rodgers as it has its cost him this year.

Lovren despite his his average season isn't an awful player, he showed before for saints and occasionally for us e can play way, same as Lallana. Problem is they were both £10m overpriced. Lallana for £15m and lovren for £10m wouldn't have been bad signings and the price tag pressure might not have got to them.

Moreno has been a big disappointment for me so far, willing to give all 3 another chance next year but balotelli needs to go, just doesn't suit us at the moment and in sure played a different style he can score goals but we'd have to compromise the whole style for him which shouldn't be the way the club works.

Lallana, Lovren and Lambert.

Mario at £16m isn't too bad but at the same time, he hasn't delivered - but then again, Rodgers wants to persist playing him as a lone striker so not surprised he hasn't worked out.

The rest of the signings were signed for the future.

Quite simple - Rodgers spunked £50m on Soton dross in positions which didn't need strengthening.

 

We paid 4m for Lambert.

 

And we still overpaid for him. Disregarding price, it's one of the most embarrassing signings this club has made.

True but having to pay him £250k a week plus £6m loan fee works out pretty much like paying £16m for someone, paying them £70k a week and then releasing them on a free...

Now, that looks very similar to Balotelli, except if we get rid of him it'll be for about £5m minimum to some Italian team

 

Money doesn't really bother me, it would only be in the glazers pocket otherwise. What does bother me is that useless **** takes up a space in the squad and for some reason keeps getting on the pitch. I'm glad we're not stuck with him.

 

All the warning signs were there for Mario Balotelli (Not manageable etc) someone was not listening.
Who that was, I don't know.

 

Lallana and Lovren for me were mistakes.

I still beleive Balotelli has a future, just use him right.
