    The last time players, fans and manager were united in condemnation of Ashley Hughton lost his job and the key protagonists from the playing side were let go.

    Look don't be negative, we have been told consistently by some people on here (not naming anyone but the name begins with an F) that:
    • We are stronger this season, that;
    • Ashley is doing a great job, that;
    • Charnley is doing a great job, that;
    • People like myself are just negative and deluded in thinking that we should spend money.
    Ashley is single handed(ly) destroying the club moral and as a direct result also the value of the club.

    NO-ONE is happy and this bodes really badly for the beginning of the season.

    If you where a player looking at even thinking of signing for the club surely reading this news you would stay clear away!

    Ah life under Ashley just keeps getting better and better.... next someone is going to say we are going to have to pay more for season tickets and also strips....... oh wait!

    Everyone is now united against Ashley. The players, manager and fans have rounded in him. The media in general are against him. Ex players too. The guy should just **** off and either sell us, or die.

    Its beyond belief, 2nd season running with this issue of bonuses. How can you make the same mistakes over and over and over again and still not learn.

    Oh wait its Ashley.

    It's like Churchill said, "the definition of Ashley is doing the same horrible stuff over and over again because you can and you don't give a ****".

    Millionaire's make fuss over not getting a bonus on top of their 50k a week salary.

    Only in football ffs <doh>

    I know you guys don't like Ashley and rightly so, but surely footballers need to grow a pair here?

    When has it happened with your team though? Right or wrong it's the done thing and the fat twat should step in line.

    Can't say I know what players of each club get bonus wise but they get enough bonuses within their individual contracts that I'm sure if they don't get an extra 100k each for avoiding relegation this season it isn't going to hurt them.

    On the face of it absolutely reeks of greed from the players but...

    they don't all earn 50k+ (we're not Liverpool) and there is an argument that even the high earning ones need to make a stand for the whole group of players as it affects the younger ones and lower paid ones more (as the bonus would probably be a higher percent of their earnings). There's also the matter of principle, every club has some bonus structure and if we aren't going to have one we need to let the players know when they're signing on or negotiating their contracts.

    Jabba the Hutt is a massive drain on everything about our club, I was in Liverpool during the Hicks and Gillett saga and the hatred towards him is no less the only difference is we've been lumbered with him for so long we've lost some of the energy to protest.

    Without knowing the details it's hard, but when footballers are moaning about money it does make you laugh. Agree that if it's industry standard then to suddenly not offer it is strange and probably unfair but t's a bonus so making it known when signing shouldn't be a must.

    In my job, we have a bonus scheme but it's never guaranteed income, that's what your salary is for.

    Second year running we've had it, mate. More Justin Barnes than Ashley, never happened in the previous 8 years. Have a funny feeling Barnes will be sacked off soon.

    Yeah but if you fulfilled your obligations to get your bonus, you should get your bonus and are within your rights to be annoyed if you don't get it.

    Regardless of the fabulous wages on offer, it's harsh to have a go at someone who has a contractual right to that bonus. Especially when a football club is generating millions in turnover and spending million in transfers. Granted we don't spend like the rest, but you get my point.

    I have no problem with footballers given large wages, or them complaining about wages or bonuses. I would do the same. Can you imagine the opportunity to set your family and future generations up for life? That is basically what parents strive to do forever more, we just never get there. Good on someone who does.

    Whether they are from this country, a war torn country, a wealthy country etc, most of these guys are working class, and without football would potentially be doing little and contributing little to society. It might be a far cry from when they played for 5 bob and a pint, but they are still heroes.

    Mike Ashley is a ****.

    He's flexing his muscles and saying 'It's my club.' Wrong. Without the fans it's nothing. He's making us more united with each passing day. The fans hate him, large sections of the media despise him and now the manager and players are confronting him. He's getting desperate.
