Lots of prem players released on frees today, these are the qpr players. Tal Ben Haim, dj Campbell, radek cerny, Frederick champion, Adam Francis, ty Hewitt, rob hulse, Taylor Louis parmenter, tomato trani(great name for back of shirt) and Ryan nelsen (who knew?!).......
DJ would have been good for us this season, he wanted to stay too. I cant see any mistakes other than that.
Anyone see a player they like from all the other teams freebies? Ross turnbull could be a good option to fight for the no1 jersey imo. Also notice former wonderkid john Bostock has been let go, probably still only about 19-20, same for sanchez watt of arsenal?!
That goes without saying, Id add in Zamora and Johnson as well. Green too and probably more if I went through the squad properly.
We just signed the invisible man Murphy so Turnbull isnt an option now. I said at the time it was the wrong decision.
Agree with most. DJ should have been given a chance - not particularly concerned about any of the others
The Premier League out-of-contract XI The transfer window is not for the faint-hearted these days, but these 11 players will cost you precisely nothing this summer Why don't we just grab this 11 and play them in the Championship? http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2013/jun/07/premier-league-out-of-contract Goalkeeper: Lukasz Fabianski, Arsenal, 28 Right-back: Ryan Shotton, Stoke City, 24 Centre-back: Kolo Touré, Manchester City, 32 Centre-back: Matthew Kilgallon, Sunderland, 29 Left-back: Maynor Figueroa, Wigan, 30 Right midfield: Jermaine Pennant, Stoke, 30 Central midfield: Emmanuel Frimpong, Arsenal, 21 Central midfield: Gary O'Neil, West Ham United, 30 Left midfield: Florent Malouda, Chelsea, 32 Striker: Carlton Cole, West Ham, 29 Striker: Mladen Petric, Fulham, 32 Full list of released players:- http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892...youn-and-gallas-head-list-of-released-premier QPR Tal Ben-Haim DJ Campbell Radek Cerny Frederick Champion Adam Francis Troy Hewitt Rob Hulse Ryan Nelsen Taylor Parmenter Tommaso Trani
Been wanting frimpong at the R's for 2 years now, would be great for us I think. Shotton is the only other player I like from that lot, maybe fabianski at a push. I still think Murphy should be 3rd choice keeper, so we need one more who can challenge green.....
Id take Frimpong and Shotton. Right age and are more than good enough for this level. Shotton also has a wicked long throw. Might be worth a go since we dont bother crossing any more. Id have Danny Simpson as well as thants 2 RBs meaning Onuoha can move to CB.
Frimpong is dreadful. He's conned people into thinking he's a footballer because he's loud and noticeable, albeit in the most moronic possible way.
That's your opinion, to which you are entitled of course! I am no fool however, and don't usually watch a player with my ears!! I think he would be great in the championship, breaking up play and winning possession.......
"Frimpong is dreadful. He's conned people into thinking he's a footballer because he's loud and noticeable, albeit in the most moronic possible way." FITS OUR PLAYER CREDENTIALS PERFECTLY - SIGN HIM UP ON £80K / WEEK!
I honestly think you should sign Jay Simpson who we released. Great work ethic, hold up/link up play, the only problem is that he's a striker that can't really finish. Although most of us came to the conclusion that he's probably a CF and he himself has said he likes playing behind the strikers. He finished last Season with 7 goals, and around 7/8 assists I think.
No offence but no thanks to a Hull reject and of course we have enough strikers already that can't score goals.
We had him on loan from Arsenal before he went to you. He did ok, but no great shakes. We have the "striker that can't really finish" position pretty well covered already!
