Wojciech Szczesny - 5/10: A pretty disappointing season for the Pole, and Wenger decided to drop him towards the end of the season, but to be fair to him, when he got another chance, he did pretty well and made a few vital saves in the run in. But on the whole, last season was probably his worst in an Arsenal shirt.

Carl Jenkinson - 7/10: A massive improvement from his first season and he put in some brilliant performances and those performances came against top teams. Unlucky not to get more game time.

Bacary Sagna - 4/10: Probably his worst season at Arsenal and I kinda feel sorry for him, because he was really unlucky to break his leg twice in a season, and at his age it's hardly surprise that he lost some of his pace, so it's little wonder that he struggled. If that was his final season at Arsenal, then all I can say is a massive thank you to him for the great service he gave us.

Thomas Vermaelen - 3/10: A horror season for the Belgian and was rightly dropped, but should have been dropped a lot sooner. His performance against Spurs at White Hart Lane summed his season up.

Per Mertesacker - 7/10: A mainstay in the defence and for most of the season he was calm, assured and a real senior player for the team, only looked dodgy when he was paired with Vermaelen.

Laurent Koscielny - 8/10: Started the season slowly and not getting a run of games did not help, but he finally got his place in the team, he really showed his talent. Our best player in the run and scored the goal that gave us CL football.

Kieran Gibbs - 7/10: Arguably his finest season to date and managed to play 27 league games, and for him that was impressive. Had a good link up with Podolski going forward and his pace does give us an attacking threat on that left hand side, also scored one our goals of the season at Swansea.

Nacho Monreal - 6/10: A decent start to his Arsenal career, and with a full pre-season, hopefully he can show the sort of form he was showing at Malaga.

Andre Santos - 3/10: Put in some of the worst performances you are ever likely to see from an Arsenal defender. Sadly, he is going to be back next season.

Pretty much agree with all of that other than I'd give Mert and 8 too. I think he's been a rock this season and he's added a real danger in the oppo penalty area too <ok>

Santos - thank god he's gone. I really thought he'd push on this season. Towards the end of last season he lost some weight, and had a few decent performances, but he went so far backwards this season he might as well just not turned up. The RVP shirt swapping at HT was the final nail in the coffin of his Arsenal career.

Vermaelen - terrible season and you're right to point out that the goals (and the game) we handed to the spuds on a plate was largely his fault. That said, I still believe that he is a top quality CB and I'd expect him to be back next season fighting for his place.

Sagna - He's been a loyal servant for Arsenal during a time where a lot of players jumped ship. Always given everything for the club, I'd have no complaints if he left this summer, but personally I hope he doesn't.

Jenkinson - unlucky not to get more games, really good solid RB. He's not flashy, but he does the simple things really well.

Gibbs - Good season for him and finally looks to be over his injuries.

Monreal - Solid performances, another one who doesn't mess around, safety first and solid defending.

Kos - Made an Arsenal legend of himself this season <ok>

Szczesny 4/10 - has regressed on his already weak areas: (a) poor judgement and decision making when to come out of his area and when not, (b) putting pressure on our defense when we're under siege by putting the ball back into play RIGHT THE **** NOW. The rest seems to be about the same as before (as IMO he was overrated to boot), just maybe he's let some in this season that he might have saved the last.

Jenkinson 7/10 - Unlucky not to get more games in the second part of the season, but it shows that Wenger still has more faith in Sagna's defensive abilities.

Sagna 6/10 - I really don't get all the exaggeration about his season. Wasn't up to his standards but still a very solid full-back defensively, though he had a few 'freak' games.

Vermaelen 4/10 - I agree with everyone else about his season but I don't think it's a huge departure from the rest of his tenure at Arsenal. Was always overrated IMO based on his first 6 months with us. Since then he's been panicy, showing bad judgement, and shambolic throughout IMO.

Mertesacker 7/10 - He improved but the overcompensation from Koscielny makes him look a bit better than he is. Especially during the end of the season he would have been punished a lot more for his lack of pace if he hadn't such a good partner.

Koscielny 9/10 - Nothing out of the ordinary. He has just continued being the best and most consistent CB at Arsenal for 2.5 seasons.

Gibbs 6/10 - He might have improved slightly, but he is still a risky proposition defensively. A back 4 with Vermaelen CB (on the left side) and Gibbs LB should probably rank as one of the most vulnerable defenses Arsenal has put out in the last few decades. All the opposition has to do is brute force their right flank and win, basically.

Monreal 6/10 - He definitely doesn't belong to this generation of Spanish players, and is almost cripplingly reliant on his strong foot, but he is still pretty solid.

Santos - I've already erased him from my memory so can't put a number on it.

I feel Wenger doesnt use Jenkinson properly. By that i mean he only ever plays him when Sagna is injured which is pretty stupid at players loose Match Practice and when called upon dont do too well.

Wenger needs to start using him bench alot more and not just bring on the usual same players.
