Mine usually involves necking as many pints I can in paddys and I make it the stadium at about 10 minutes before k.o so I miss the lads warming up. When I used to go earlier I remember the players used to practice shooting from the edge of the area with the gk coach teeing them up to whack one at the gk on the bench that day. Just curious to know if we do this anymore? Lord knows some need to. On the back of the Malbranque thread he especially, along with Catts could benefit from this as there striking in the final third is atrocious.

I remember Djibril Cisse giving the North Stand some squeaky bum time before matches, when that guy hits a ball it stays hit.

Pretty similar mate. Demolish as many pints as possible prior to the match, increasing my optimism as each pint falls. Then get 2the ground about 20mins prior to kick off, put a couple of rediculour bets i.e Bramble to score 1st and Sunderland tow in 5-2, or even more rediculous, Steed to score first!

Sober up gradually during the game as my optimism turns to momentary judilation usually followed by dispair and then a jar or 10 on the way home where my anger turns again to optimism analysing our result and speaking of the next game.

    The circle of life eh!

Yogi, 5-2. Yes that is ridiculous. I go for 5-1, much more sensible.

You laugh but the reason i stated 5-2 was coz i remember being absolutely 'paul merson'd' before the wolves game a while back and put a quid on Michael Turner to score 1st and sunderland to win 5-2. We of course won the game 5-2, Michael Turner scored, but not 1st. Id of put some of the wolves fans 2shame with how gutted i was.

If that had come in id be sitting on a beach sumwhere now, alas im at work.

Pre-match for me is usually spent in the Railway Club having a few games of snooker and a good few alchoholic drinks (could be wine, beer or shorts depending on what takes the mood). As a rule, I don't get to games until about five minutes before kick off, but when I have been to the ground early I have witnessed the shooting practise routine.
