Have to admit to being somewhat disappointed with our dealings in this window. That got me to thinking about our current squad, especially, but not exclusively, the likes of, Ba, Cisse, Cabaye, HBA and Tiote. Do you think they share our disappointment at so few signings ? Would a players perception be different to that of a fan ? Pardew has stated that we should be thanking Ashley as all our big names are still with us, but do you think that will be the case when the window opens again. Not because we will sell, but because some will actively want to leave the club ? Not trying to be doom and gloom, just throwing this out for debate.
Id be expecting more quality additions tbh but one or two (simmo) may be quietly pleased as they will bag more game time now.
I imagine they are as disappointed with the window as a lot of NUFC fans are. To sit and listen to the transfer dealings going on for NOT silly money makes me think MA has put two fingers up. Cant blame AP, he has to do as he is told but must be very frustrating for him after the success of last season. Just shows the board has no ambition and are only interested in filling the coffers up and not spending much of it, 3 mill so far this window I think. The deals they have tried to do were not silly money deals.
