The Sky Bet League One outfit finished 17th in the standings last season, and begin their 2016/17 campaign with a trip to Millwall on Saturday 6th August."

No real surprise here since he hasn't been featuring in pre-season games, even with a scratch squad.

Our Goalie coach, Tim Flowers, says that both Jesse Joronen and Marek Rodak will go out on loan.

In an article by the local paper Flowers is commenting on the competition between Bettinelli and Button but goes on to explain why that means the youngsters need to go on loan to get game time. Specifically - just for rosc - he says about Joronen,

"Flowers has made it clear to the club how foolish it’d be to get rid of Joronen due to his ability as a great athlete and fantastic shot stopper, but stressed how he needs to stay injury free. He said: “There’s obviously bits of his game he needs to brush up on which he has done and he is working very hard. But the key element is he needs to play games at the end of the week. He is looking fit and feels he is in a good place physically, he feels good and strong and going in the right direction."

While on the subject of loans, neither Jack Grimmer nor Sean Kavanagh were with the squad in Portugal. Would expect to see the going out as well.

    Drat me ...

It’s the second time the forward has returned to Milton Keynes on loan since leaving the side where he began his career, while he spent part of last season with Gillingham. The 20-year-old was a member of the Wales squad that reached the Semi-Finals of this summer’s European Championship, and will now turn his attentions to helping the Dons return to the Sky Bet Championship at the first time of asking.

MK face Stevenage in a friendly on Saturday, before kicking off their League One campaign at Shrewsbury Town a week later."

Yup, and you can just see the scenario. Returns at the end of the season and leaves on a free transfer.

Georgie Williams played the first 75 minute for MK Dons in their 1-0 win away to Shrewsbury at the weekend.

Cameron Burgess played the full 90 for Oldham who went down 3-0 away to Millwall. Unfortunately Cameron was responsible for the first goal when he was slow to react to a loose ball in the area, and as the Millwall player nipped in to flick it past him, a crude lunge brought the inevitable spot-kick. Our old boy, Shaun Hutchinson, wasn't in the home team line-up.

Georgie Williams played the first hour as MK Dons grabbed a 2-2 draw at home against Millwall. The Lions stormed into an early two-goal lead courtesy of efforts from Tony Craig and David Worrall, but it didn’t last long as debutant Kieran Agard netted twice in the subsequent six minutes to even things up .

And our other on loan. Cameron Burgess, played the full game in another draw. Apparently it was one of those entertaining nil-nils and at home to Wallsall. In the opposition side was 'old' boy, keeper Neil Etheridge.

Slavi has confirmed that Jesse Joronen will go out on loan, just not yet.

Jesse is a young and very talented keeper and at this age it is necessary for this type of player to have the games, but at the moment I need three keepers," explained Slavisa Jokanovic. “In September I will have a plan after everything that has happened in front of us and we will try and find the best solution for Jesse in the future. He is a fantastic person and a very good keeper. The position of the goalkeeper is always complicated because it is only one who is in the team and I can use only one in the game. This is the situation and we have to find some solution in the future.”

George Williams played the whole game as MK Dons nicked an injury time goal to beat Rochdale 1-0 away.

And a very similar story for Cameron Burgess, except Oldham's goal came early on as they defeated Bury 1-0 away.

Tetchy match for the MK Dons away to Reading in the EFL Cup last night, with 6 bookings. Georgie Williams, who came on in the 75th minute, being one of them. The match finished 2-2 after extra time and Reading went through 4-2 on penalties.

Also in the Cup Oldham lost their four match unbeaten record, going down 2-0 away to Preston North End. Cameron Burgess played the full match.

Looks like Jack Grimmer is going back to Shrewsbury on another season loan. Hmmm ... in the last year of his contract; could be ominous for the lad.

And, one out of the blue - "Super Caley Go Ballistic"

"The Club can confirm that Larnell Cole has joined Inverness Caledonian Thistle on loan until January.

please log in to view this image

The 23-year-old has taken in similar spells at Milton Keynes Dons and Shrewsbury Town during his time at Fulham, and now he's going to test himself north of the border. Cole could make his Scottish Premiership debut on Saturday 10th September away at Aberdeen, and we'd like to wish him the best of luck during his time in Scotland."

Quite surprised since he had been training with Charlton and played for their Under-23s against Southampton on Monday. Hope he can stay injury free and it works out for him - he certainly needs game time.

    Confirmed.

"Jack Grimmer has joined Sky Bet League One side Shrewsbury Town on loan for the season.

The defender has previously enjoyed two loan spells at Greenhous Meadow, making seven appearances in 2014/15, and 24 last term. The highlight of his previous stint with the Shrews was when he popped up in the 90th minute to secure a 3-2 win over Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup back in January.

Grimmer could make his third debut for the club on Saturday at Oldham Athletic, where he may come up against a familiar face in Cameron Burgess.

Everyone at Fulham would like to wish Jack the best of luck for the season."

[Moved here to put all the ducks in a row]

As mentioned in the Rumours - Out thread, Richard Stearman has indeed gone on loan to his old club Wolves.

"The Club can confirm that Richard Stearman has re-joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on a season-long loan deal. Stearman joined Fulham from Wolves just under a year ago, and has gone on to make 32 appearances. A former captain of the Molineux club, Stearman could make his second debut at home to Burton Albion on Saturday 10th September.

We’d like to wish Richard the best of luck for the season."

Jack Grimmer marked his return to Shrewsbury Town by thanking Micky Mellon's confidence in him, playing the whole game and helping his side to a 3-2 win away to Oldham. On the other side of the coin Cameron Burgess must be disappointed that his Oldham team didn't get something from the game. They had the bulk of the possession, despite being down to ten men for the last 20 minutes, and by far the greater number of shots; just too few on target.

George Williams was an used sub as MK Dons went down 3-2 away to Northampton.

Blooper on my part. MK Dons have two "G Williams" in their squad. The one mentioned here was the other one. Our George is on the bench tonight for Wales v Moldova.

In his debut game, Magnus Norman earned plenty of praise from Southport fans as heleped his side to a 1-1 draw against Aldershot.

Jack Grimmer was making his 3rd home debut for Shrewsbury. He played the full game but couldn't stop his side going down 1-0 to Scunthorpe.

George Williams played the final 20 minutes for MK Dons in a 0-0 draw at home to Oxford. Taking time but Georgie is slowly making his way back.

Cameron Burgess helped Oldham keep a clean sheet away to Coventry in a 0-0. That's the 5th clean sheet in 8 games that he's been involved in.

No game for Inverness Caledonian Thistle today, so a quiet day for Larnell Cole. All go tomorrow though as Calley take on Celtic, and he'll meet at least one of his old team mates.

Meanwhile, as the Club would say, the match hitting Championship headlines has to be Wolves' 2-0 win up at St James against a Newcastle side flush from their 6-0 trouncing of QPR. No Richard Stearman in the Wolves squad though and old boy Andy Lonergan was on the bench. Must have been some game with 8 bookings (5 to Wolves, 3 to Newcasle) and 1 red (Newcastle's Vurnon Anita).

Larnell was an unused sub for Calley as they shocked Celitic with a last minute equaliser. The game ended 2-2. Moussa Dembele played the full 90 for the Bhoys, while Pat Roberts was subbed after 75 minutes.
