I wouldn't normally repeat a post but feel this is an important issue that requires highlighting at this stage of the season particularly. This was a reply to Jock early this morning regarding the ongoing debate of clowns tagging players on social media. Sorry for repeating myself but feel this is a serious issue.
In case you missed it, its from original article posted by Jock showing Bamford has read some of the negative tweets about him.

"Morning Jock. Also underlines what I’ve been saying, they shouldn’t be on social media. Like it or not, there will always be idiots posting stuff and nobody can control that. They do it for attention and every time someone comments on their drivel, it I only serves to highlight that post and it grows legs. There have been two disgusting examples in the previous week and I don’t know if you saw them. One was a video clip from a Leeds “fan” which was a compilation he had done of a selection of Bamford misses, the second a video of Kikos blunders. Needless to say, both posts generated much comment. I didn’t mainly because it would only draw attention to The sick videos for anyone following me.It’s the way of twitter, you put something there and it’s there forever. Unfortunately even the brain dead have access to it. Here’s the good side, big Kev has been tweeting since joining and has got a fantastic welcome from fans but over the top stuff like they can’t wait to see him banging in the goals or his fist hat trick. Already creating added unnecessary pressure before he’s even kicked a ball. Partly generated by him being on twitter. A section of those will yen proceed to abuse him if he misses a couple. Therefore once again, I say the players should be banned from it immediately. At this point of the season, I can’t stress it enough"

    My honest opinion?
If you pay me £5k+ a week to do what I love to do you can call me whatever you like.
I might cry just a little bit so I'd need to get the leather cleaned in my Range Rover but I'm sure my beautiful wife would console me.
Years ago players used to have to have a fkn job too.
Many earn fk all and do 40+ hours a week in a job they hate so forgive me if I don't have enough sympathy.
As has been said, if they don't like it, don't read it.

They could have Don Revie giving them a soapy massage

Loving the new avatar by the way.

Social media is crap as it allows all sorts of low lifes to spout ****.

However nobody is forced to read it so just don't.

Must admit I have never felt inclined to join this Facebook Twitter carry on.
I have never been that interested in being nosy regarding other people’s affairs also seen the trouble it can cause but each to their own being on here is enough for me at least on here we all have something in common, or most of us anyway:angel:

There are benefits to social media as well as pitfalls. Much of the morning debate comes from it as does a lot of player info doc and others provide on here. Without it there wouldn’t be much to discuss much of the time. Bielsas pressers for example. Any way each to their own and points are well made that nobody is forced to be on it. If you do be prepared for the rough with the smooth. Players the same
