as there seems to be a lot of debate already on next season and do we sign the loan players maybe it time to cast an eye around. the two in form players at the moment are both the wrong side of 30 and are flying at the moment. 1. scott parker, has got to be up there amonst the top minfielders in the league, and me personally would love to see him at the sol (wages may be a stumbling block) 2 damien duff (reckon ne1 lads messed up there) is also flying and always a handful. probably not the names you were expecting, but boy would that be a midfield. duff- catts-parker-henderson thats with sess up with gyan pretty decent midfield imo oh and if your wondering my back 4, i would love to see hutton- turner-johnny evans-bardo and either gk, but if to pick one? its still flash and we would have decent strenght in depth with some top players to cover the injuries etc.
lucas for me duff and parker are the form player at the mo, and safc and letting themselves down with lack of goals from around the team and they are both scoring midfielders just the kind we need to ease the pressure of the strikers. we only have seven scorers this season the lowest in the league, its unfair to ask the forwards to do it alone, thats why i like the midfield in the post
If WHU go down, and I think they will, Parker will leave - He's a top notch player and commands the midfield. Definately worth an ask.....But at what price......
put my thoughts down on another article yesterday "New" people...."A BIG man up front to provide options in style of play....... A creative CM who scores a few....... Finally, a LB as Bardo has been outstanding but an injury and arghhhh !!!!!" Ideally the CM can deliver good balls into the box from set pieces as so far this season all our corners and free kicks have resulted in NO goals scored by our "big lads" from the back!!!!
I can't help but think that if we went for Duff and Parker, in a year or so people would say we've signed them 'just as they went over the hill'... Both good players but I think we can do better than Duff (Sess will be much better!) and Parker- brilliant player- but not sure about the age/wage situation. Agree we need a good ball-playing CM who can score, deliver good free kicks and corners, and dictate play. Sess - Catts - ? - Hendo next season for me! And Danny to play up top with Gyan
I think there are rich pickings in any of the potential relegated teams If Wigan go down? Rodellega? - Yes please West Brom? - Odemwingie, don't mind a bit Wolves - Matthew Jarvis, yeah, we'll have him
Big Queue for Rodellega - The bookies are favouring Wigan for the drop Odemwingie has the ability to score goals, but will be jump ship.......if they go down.....
ayethe west brom lad, looks decent enough, thats why im not worried about wellbeck, love to get him but feel everyone are building their hopes up, bruce is top notch at sniffing out a decent forward, decent call that one mate
