i don't feel sorry for the players at all, but a crazy crammed fixture lists hurts those with small squads the most. for that reason i'd like to see it changed. the players get paid regardless of when theyplaytheir league matches. our two games which came quickly on the back of energy sapping matches showed how weak we are (city and hull at home) as a squad. we don't have the resources to change that, and fans resources get spread v thinly over a v expensive time of year.
